Its been 12 days since we last heard anything about the patch. Please how about an update on its progress.
Have I wasted my money????

Until they Actually Post the Patch for Download Who would Know? Certainly cannot believe the usual tripe they post--" Its being worked on,just taking a little Longer than anticipated. We will keep you posted".
In Reality, I am not convinced that it even matters anymore. No amount of Patches will give us the Game as outlined in all of D.W.Bradley's Interviews and it will,almost certainly not "Miracuously" increase the already Dismal Initial Sales of the Game.
Only You would Know if you have "Wasted" your Money.

they are most likely fixing the game fot the European Release, making shure the translatios are correct, maybe adding furnature, npc's.

the game is allready relaesed in Germany and the path 1.2 is integrated, still no automap but the junk inventory is working (as far as I read it in the german forum)

if the patch is integraten in the german version, why are they waiting to release the patch for the us version. it just don't make any sense.

Well surprise, surprise the German version has NOT the patch 1.2 with the map. They *said* the automap patch would come "in a few days".
This game doesn't need a patch... it needs another year in development!

Let's be real here: this is to the point where all we're getting is vague promises and "implied" patches. I think they are now just trying to milk whatever sales they can from foolish people (such as myself) who are willing to buy the game and hold on to it waiting for the implied patches. :mad:

Bgaum actually made a vague post in a thread a few days ago that is now gone and said the patch is almost ready for testing. /shrug

Now, now. Let's been reasonable here. Are DC and HP folks really evil robbers cynically milking us for cash? Probably not. Are the less than competent in the scoping and project management arena? Much more likely. Either way, I'm sure they're working on the patch. They just have a communication problem. They should stay away from setting expectations with an angry user community unless they're 98% sure they can hit them. There also seems to be serious communication breakdowns between DC and HP. Too often they haven't been on the same page. The whole missing automap was a "feature" versus a "deadline casualty" as well as the "automap is in the next patch" versus "no it's not" fiascos come to mind.
My advice to HP and DC, if you're reading: take the Blizzard approach. Resist the temptation to say anything more than "we're working on it" unless you are very, very, very sure that what you're saying is happening or going to happen is actually going to happen.

Yeah, install a developer cam. We want to see if they are really working on this or sitting on their asses.
They are probably trying to protect themselves from lawsuits. Like other posters said in the past, they are a prime target for one, I'm sure.

if this patch isn't done by the end of the month the only thing that'll protect Bradely will be some sort of mystical force field which his devolopers 'invented' though i doubt it will have as much success as his game did

I remember seeing that too. Strange that it's completely gone though. Even if you go to Bgaum's profile and select "see all posts". Now, why do you suppose they did that?

Maybe they'll prove me wrong and actually produce a "patch" at some point in the future...

I've actually been pretty optimistic to this point. But their sales are so far in the toilet now that it almost becomes foolish for then business wise to work on a patch.
Look at these boards. There's no game-play discussion any more, and, in truth, there's only a handful of us even caring about this piece of Crap.

Oh, I think we'll see at least a 1.2 before they completely dump this piece of trash. After all, they did patch the German version so they will probably spread those fixes around.

well if this game really goes down the toilet (I've heard other things) then so be it... it definitely had potential but those... well those "people" screwed it... I'm selling mine on ebay... this is a waste of time...

Errr...no. It seems, at least in my case, you are mistaken.
One of my first posts was actually about wanting to see them take the time they needed. I didn't want to see another kotoR2....

Looks like there is an update information on the status of patch v1.2 and v1.3. They say they're testing it and coming out about a week. Wasn't it four or so weeks ago that they said patch is comin out in the next Friday.
I'm not saying anything, just a meraly coincidence... I think

DC is, in fact, just one of the publishers for Dungeon Lords. Typhoon Games is another. Heuristic Park is the developer of Dungeon Lords. All of this is clearly spelled out on the Heuristic Park (http://www.heuristicpark.com/) website for all to see. :D

A correction is what I am posting now, since you guessed incorrectly and I thought you might like to be informed of that. I realize that all of those words are fairly large and start with the same letter, which may have been what confused you, Shock.

Oh, "wass" it? Let me correct you on your spelling.
That word wasn't even fairly large. You seem to have problems with the small things. Don't worry though. You can get surgery for that.
