Painkiller Xbox Name!

After much deliberation, we have finally determined the name:

Painkiller: He11 Wars (the 1s will be ls of course!)

And the winner is - Rebooter! He suggested "He11 War" on 5-15-05, Page 4 on the contest thread. Although it's not exactly the same as the final name, we're gonna give it to him! Congratulations Rebooter!

We think that Painkiller: He11 Wars ties in nicely with the single player storyline and also effectively communicates the Xbox Live multiplayer component that will be available too.

The most entries award goes to ougabooga who suggested an insane amount of names on 5-15-05 as well. We didn't plan for a prize for this, but this effort definitely deserves something.

I'll be contacting each individual to set-up their prizes.

Well, certainly it would be helpful if we can actually refer to the game by it's name in the forum, lol! (so any mention of the umm..."firey place" gets censored? That's new.)

But yeah, congrats to the winners! I think It'll take me a while to get used to that...It's not a name I would have thought of (I'm not really a fan of L33t though, so that may explain my current reaction to it.) but well done to the member that suggested it. :)

Meh, but it does seem befitting of the 'xbox'. It's a decent title. Not as good as 'Battle out of ****', but appropriate for the necessarily dumbed-down console market.

But why do you want to copy a name from a similar game that's already out called "Dead to Rights II: H3LL to Pay"? Shouldn't the name be unique instead of copying someone else's idea?

why not something simpler like just Painkiller,....or PainXkilleR with the "X" being much larger and looking like bloody slashes or claw tears,...or "painkiller:deliver us to evil" with the hooded monk with his scroll open like on the credits at the end of the game on the cover with deliver us to evil written in blood on the scroll....

Xbox, Nintendo cube, PC or whatever...i think if there is a game made that is known as painkiller - heaven's got a hitman/painkiller - battle out of ****, it should be applied to whatever computer models on earth.
You know how the russians have binded painkiller?
It's - "baptized with blood".
Now, if every country would release theyr own painkiller version and would rename it it theyr ways, what would we have then?

I don't think so, well maby half of the true - countries like North Korea, southern Afrika regions, Irak, Afganistan, Gruzia, well Pakistan too, yes, but don't forget that there are islamic countries where pk is popular, like Turkey, though of course Turkey is a cosmopolitan land comparing to Afganistan, where all the extreme terroristic sources are located, and such countries are economicly poor; besides, pk is made in Europe, in Poland. It has nothing to do with idealogies like Counter Strike, which i guess shows the exact situation that is in these days. Anyway...
When i first had known that pk was developed in Poland, in a country that was long time besieged by SSSR, i did not believed.
Thuogh there should be now astonishment since people of Poland allways were more creative comparing to russians...
