Where did the ambient sounds go?

They are all in the sounds folder, but nowhere in the game...

You need to go to options and set your volume higher. or you have a corrupted game or a false install.

I do hear sounds when I walk in the wilderniss.

I, too, hear sounds in the wilderness as I'm running from one end of the map to the other.

All volumes are at max. Damnit, is there anything with this game that works as it's supposed to?

set your hardware audio excelleration to off, that will fix it.

run--dxdiag--sound--hardware excelleration off

That fixed it. It will sure be much more entertaining to travel through wilderness now that I won't have only the footsteps to listen to. :)
