View Full Version : About 1.3, and yes I'm complaining.

Tweaks? That's all that made it into patch 1.3, where a bunch of gameplay tweaks?

They didn't even fix the class requirements, or the character customization? The art is already there for God's sake. Good lord. Let's see how many cling on after THIS one. I know programming is hard, but the intentions here are showing through beyond a reasonable doubt now.

And who stole my sig? **** pilferers.

yeah, im glad they tested this patch for a month, its good to know that those very few bug fixes and that one feature will work right...

Well, it probably took them 5 weeks to make each map...or 4 weeks and 4 days to go on vacation and 1 day to put in the code to use the map system.

Heezues H. Chrispycream! It was good before (I'm playing through for a second time). Now it's better! Why the bitchfest? If you were expecting more and are disappointed that's just silly.

I remember a post a few days ago when someone was complaining it would take a *year* for the automap feature to be implemented. Someone else agreed.

I guess some folks just can not be happy unless they've got something sour to say.

OK. I'm going back to play - I've got an automap now!

Please don't complain !!! The designers don't like compliants. Please be reasonable, they are people to and make mistakes just like the average person. Give them a chance. Everyone deserves chances. Please look into your heart and give them a chance. They will make the required changes your looking for. Please stop being so judgemental. After all, you got the game for free, you didn't purchase it with your hard earned money.

Have a heart !!!

unforchantly it looks like they did not fix the bug that prevented players from geting Hunter class. Look i know the class is supposed to suck and the weapons choice is even worse but i wish to at least try it.

I'm sick of people crying about others 'flaming' and 'bitching'. The fact is, I DID purchase this game with my hard-earned money. I realize that many of you have your mommies to buy you video games whenever you bat your little eyelashes and say "pweeze?" but many of us have to WORK a lot of HOURS to make the money to **** away on half-finished software.

The fact is, this game cost me $50 US. That is nearly 1/4 of my average paycheck. I've always been a PC gamer, and my Playstation 2 sits and gathers dust. But guess what? Lately I've been playing a lot of PS2. Because I'm sick of paying half of a hundred dollar bill for games that are completely unfinished, and would make poor beta or even alpha software. Remember, this game wasn't priced at 19.99. If it had been, I wouldn't even bother to gripe.

A few bug fixes are nice, but I want the game that I was promised on the box. A lot of people on this forum keep saying "but character customization isn't vital to the game!!11 narf!". You're right. It isn't vital. Neither are swords. Or textures. I'm pretty sure the game would still run with just white polygonal blobs walking around instead of NPC's, but that doesn't mean I should be happy with it. I was promised character customization, and in fact, the buttons for it were even in the game! Where do you get off saying you're going to fix it, and then just remove the buttons? My god that takes balls. Why not include a little tube of KY Jelly with the game, you know, to make things a little easier when the blatant raping of the consumers begins. All of the textures are already on my hard drive, for the love of god. Even the simplest modder could implement this stuff. These kinds of business practices are sickening, and the fact that so many of you put up with it and still are willing to give the thumbs up and smile and nod is even moreso.

We're not talking about minor glitches or hardware compatibility issues. We're talking about dozens of game-breaking bugs, and a piece of software so frail that I think I could crash it if I jump around enough or even blow on the screen at the wrong time. It is unacceptable, and we should all be 'bitching' about it.

Oh, I'm "happy" that the game was broken and had to be patched... I'm "happy" that there is still no character customization.... I'm happy that I spent $49 bucks on a game that is STILL incomplete...

YEAH.. I'M FREAKIN' HAPPY!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I wholeheartly agree with you. I dont consider your opinion a flame like others do. You have made a reasonable statement. Your not calling for somebody to be killed, your making valid statements. The designers know what they are putting out. They know what they call the "final product" is unfinished.
Are they thinking about us when the game is released?

Nooooooooo.

If they were they would have not released this game - BOTTOM LINE.

I call on Gorn to answer this question "Are they thinking about us consumers when the game is released?"

I tried to make a reasonable statement, though it may look more like a rant. I'm just tired of people saying it's okay, and that we should give them a chance.

This isn't like when a game comes out, and works perfectly, EXCEPT for Johnny and Steve, who both have SupraGrafx Mega 9000 video cards from a Wal-Mart in Portugal. Unforeseen things like that call for patience for a fix.

We were screwed well in advance by these people, and it isn't right.

But Gorn and company doesn't want to hear this. They want us to provide assistance to the developers in the technical forum by posting problems. We not only have to pay for they game, its now your job to post issues so the designer can fix them.

What more can you ask from a consumer.

Huh? Where's this favor you speak of?

The only **** thing I wanted in this patch was character customization. I'm not playing this game, or any other game over and over for jollies. I play a game 1 time, and I fully ream the game till it is beat like hamburger. I'm not going to play thru with character John Doe's face. I've got a job and I train my *** off in the rest of my spare time... I can't just play a game 10000 times till they finish it.

How is this not crippling the game for many of us?

And now it sits on my 'shelf' until it's... f this I'm done with DC. And you can bet the group of hardcore gamers I know won't be picking up copies of any of their games in the future. Atleast until I read a 90% + review, which I know they won't ever EARN.

You know what's funny about that? Do a search for some of my earlier posts. We spent the first 2 weeks after release doing nothing but giving the Devs feedback on bugs/glitches/missing content. I gave them the benefit of the doubt for a good while. Now, 3 psudo patches later, it looks like they did NOTHING with that feedback. Most of the 'balance' issues that they fixed are petty. They tweaked some bosses? Give me a break. Tweaking bosses is after-polish. Stuff that should be done once everything else is taken care of. It didn't even really NEED to be done.

the most frightening thing is i watched the same path and pattern with temple of elemental evil.

the devs said "were workin on it" for 2 months and then put out a fix list for a patch the size of a babys wang...

the problem here is the developers might not be getting the financial backing from the publisher to patch, so basically there might be one poor guy doing all this for free or a couple guys that are trying to be kind and help us (the consumer) out.

or maybe the publisher is still paying them for the work and were getting the prison shaft...

who knows, they will never let us know whats goin down on the "inside".

its a friendly corporate hand shake to our face and a fist f_ _K when were not looking...

Because most of us can't play the game, or don't won't to play it with major stuff like spells not working get teleported at random to a mass of dragons, you know stuff like that. crashes...nad such put on top of all that... We weren't expecting more than a complete game, which this isn't by far. I love the gamplay, I hate the emptyniess but don't expect them to fix that. I just espect them to fix it so I can run through the game without crashing 20+ times, being telported 20+ times, having spells that don't work, main quest(since ther aren't anythign but) unable to be completed. MP being horrendous, the game being laggy on top end machines, game options not working..... I could go on forever. Yeah you got through it congrats, so have I once in SP but I still think it is less than bargain bin material. In MP we keep hitting quest bugs adn still can't finish it...Have to reload alot due to other bugs....

That is why people are complaining, just because you didn't enocunter any problems...well consider yourself lucky and play the lottery...
