Spoiler Questions about The Bards Tale

Ok I am in the room where the spirit of the dead Viking was taken to Valhala but the skeletal body of the Bezerker is long gone. I am in the room where I first found him sitting on a throne-like chair.If I travel south down the hall way I come to another area where I see a chest on the floor which I looted before I met the Beserker. There are root like obstacles coming out of the ceiling around where the chest is located but I see no table here....is this the room you are referring to in you reply ?

Ooops sorry I was wrong when I replied to you I read your post wrong and in my hurried response adled the reply so that rereading it even confused me :D Sorry about that. You already got the object I was talking about hehe... Go back to the guy that you mentioned you wanted to free, SUMMON the new fire elemental the viking gave you. When you get close to walls like that it'll melt them. Again sorry about the confusion. Thanks again for clearing that up for me :) :) I think I leveled up twice just killing those respawning skellys over and over again looking for something I thought I missed in the frozen tomb..heh :) :) I love this game and I love my mighty bow and arrow although do you think the bow skill may be overpowered just a little?? He He He! :D :D

Well now I have my Fire Elemental and I have walked through all the iced in gates but when I go back to the guy behind the ice the Fire Elemental will not melt it like the others and when I try to speak to him he just says "What kind of Bard are you anyway." This is starting to drive me nuts...lol :confused: :confused:

OK-A good *Spoiler* Thread is Much needed. I searched and found only ONE Site that had a Forum and it was Sparsely Populated. Not much useful info there.
I have done everything I can think of in the Starting Town-except for destroying Barrels for the Barrel-Maker. I read ( somewhere ) that you need the Bow to break the Barrels people are sitting on in the Tavern. I have a Grand Total of 47 Gold. Bow costs 462 Gold. What can I do to make some Gold in this Town? Also,I still have ZERO Experience-I would have thought I would have gotten at least Some from Killing the Fire Rat. Any Spoilers w/b appreciated.

You need to venture outside of town on yer way to completing quests and begin killing monsters to start accumulating the bulk of yer gold.....there are also some residences in town that can be pilfered....you have to work you must do even though yer a Lazy goodfor nothing Bard....lol.. :D :D

WooHoo on with the show!! I just decided to press the key for the healer princess and poof the ice barrier melted away!! Yay!!!Thanks fer yer help phalzyr!! Oh nooooo boohoo I just experienced my first CTDT.. :( :(.I was almost at the end of the 2nd tower lvl when it happened :( :( . Oh well I just reloaded the game and off I went like the good little Bard I am ... he he he.. Has anyone experienced any crashes yet?

Information on this Game for the PC is almost NIL on the Net. Forums? Found 2 and 1 has Zero Posts,the 2d only a few. 4 Trainers are available but NONE work-even though they say its for the PC obviously they are for the Xbox.

What the H**L are they talking about?

I had 12 Adder Stones-used the Sorseress to Heal the Spider and Myself 4 times using the "R" Key,when trying to Kill the "Bugbear". This is SUPPOSED to use only One Adder Stone yet it used 3 each time--now I have Zero Adder Stones.
Never even got Close to killing the Bugbear!

Saved games? Egads! It saves them to a Folder under My Documents which cannot even be found except by doing a Search using the Word "Save" which brings up this Path: "C:\Documents and Settings\Mac\Local Settings\Application Data\inXile entertainment\The Bard's Tale\Saved Games"
This is so screwey its Pathetic! You can look all day under--"C:\Documents and Settings\Mac" and thats as far as it goes. This is Bizarre!

Hex Editing a Saved Game File? I have never met a Game I could not Hex edit,until now. Finding the offsets for all Stats was easy but change one-just the Amount of Silver for example- When You Load that edited Save you get-"This Save is Damaged-you must Delete it". I cannot think of any reason as to Why or how this can be happening-nevertheless it is.

I am trying hard to get into this Game but it is getting increasingly difficult for Me to Like Anything about TBTale! I am lev 5 now and I am not too motivated to find the old Mans "brother" Bodb in Kirkwall.

Well, I didn't like DL either so maybe I am just "Burned Out" on crappy Games.

Heh man why dont' you just try playing the game as it presents itself instead of trying to make changes to it before you even get started good.If you will just lighten up a bit and give it a chance on it's own merits I believe you will enjoy the game....just MHO. Don't worry about the about not having dough you will get tons of it as you go forth on yer quests. Remember just PLAY the game.. :) :) :)

I have tried Playing the Game. I read the Manual at least 5 Times. That still does not explain Why when I use the Bow I can only fire off 2 Arrows-about 4 seconds apart- and then it no longer Works. The Manual is very Clear that you can have up to Sixteen Summoned Creatures in your Tunes Section.
It also says that by pressing the "2"key (6) it will display the 4 Categories of Creatures: 1.Support 2.Elemental 3.Helpers and 4.Warriors. It does no such thing!
Another thing-the Manual says you can have Multiple Summoned Creatures fight alongside You and on the Back of the Box it shows FOUR fighting along with the Bard.Manual also says that you can issue GROUP orders to ALL the Summoned Creatures and any order will apply to ALL currently Summoned Creatures. B.S.! I cannot even summon the Spider AND the Heroine -its either One or the other. The Heroine is a real Wuss-She lasted about 2 encounters with the Giant Boars as I entered Neversdale. At least the Spider lasts Quite a Bit longer. But thats not the point anyway--IF the Manual is Incorrect then where do I go to get Accurate info? Nowhere that I have
found.
BTW,Can you have more than One summoned Creature in Your Party?

I also sent Emails to inXile and Vivendi asking Why there is No Tech Support for this game an No Forum on either Site. Thats been a Week ago-still no response.

You need to try playing the game a bit more instead of blindly trying to cheat through it. The number of summons you can have is limited by your instrument. At the beginning you can only summon one. What you can summon is determined by the 'tunes' you have. You have to find each one.

Rember the elemental has to be CLOSE to the barriers use the come to me command or move around a bit to get him to inch a bit closer (for those who read this thread later since you got past it :) ) I finished the game twice completely many other times partial and it ahsn't crashed on me yet even with alot of multitasking :D

It is really simple... Go into inn break all barrels that you can get to above and in cellar. Go out of in then back in ALL bareels will be back break them again then go to barrel maker 500 cash each time you do this...

Try not fighting him in the main area...Go off to the side out of danger zone and wait fro him to come to you then hit him once or twice and he'll freeze you run of flip a switch that doesn't hurt you since your not in danger zone... If you have a hard time with him try doing the main quest first and coming back to him a level or two higher. Also note that in SE corner is a better sword.

Note it is very easy to use a memory editor for money and/or beginning stats points...Now I am going to start hard without even giving me an extra penny. I used cheat so I could have no issue with baddies while doing walkthrough, having already conquered it on normal...

The bow... You have to hold the mouse button for a second or two then release not just click. I've never had trouble shooting with this in mind and the bow is very powerful maybe even too powerful after you get a fire one.

The number of summons depends on the instrument you are using. The first one only allows one, in the next town you can buy one that give two, and eventually you get one that allows four.

I thought 2 was for weapons? 3 for summons... And it will ONLY show the summons that you have collected and only allow you to look at a category that you have at least one in. You starts of with only a rat and then get the spider then heroine. You can also get upgraded versions as well, which have more HP and damage etc..

They have icon after pressing three not words so If you kept default keys then (I THINK) 1.Support = W 2.Elemental = D 3.Helpers= A and 4.Warriors = S. also if you are unsure of whcih summon goes to which area you can go into you character sheet's tune list (see stats of summons here also)

What Memory Editor are you using that will allow you to change the beginning Stats?

I use the free one art money myself, you have to search the value change then...I can't recall the mem adress off hand for the two, neither change dynamically so I'll write them down and post them tomorrow, but if you play easy difficulty you'll not have that hard of time playing. I got through with normal difficulty without cheats, used R from time to time....but had over a hundred left when done.

Yeah, I finally figured out My Problem-I had Chosen "Olde School" for some dumb reason. I have started over again on "Easy" mode and am not having any difficulty with money or anything else so I won't be needing any CHeats.
