I am enjoying Dungeon Lords very much. :D I have made it to Kingston's Area in Shadow Ruins and have done the entire area; but when I go back to the Central Room there is only 3 runes lit. The one which is NOT lit is a triangle with kind of a circle around it (upper left). What did I not do? I have gone back over the "moving" elevators again and again and into the chess room but I do not see anything I have not done. Please help. I am stymied.

A couple of things. You get each rune to light up after you complete a section in the Shadow Ruins. You have 3 of the 4 lit up. You get them to light up by the following:

1) Completing the Tower Section – This is where you have a tall tower that you have to climb up to the top to activate the rune.
2) Stones Section – This has a several little areas. The first with a large chasm and four Athena Guardians, you have to go to each side to open up the shadow gate at the other end. In the next section you have three inactive Athena Guardians. You go through doors and then mazes to get the stones, then place them in the guardians, once all three are done, then the shadow gate opens to the last section. In the last section you activate the rune.
3) Wind Jumping Section – At first you have to make your way through the little rooms with paintings of knights and minotaurs / monsters. Then you get to the section with six Athena bashers (worth a lot of XP). You have to jump to the write pillar, if you do it blows you to the next one in the center. If you get it wrong it blows you near one of the bashers and they attack you. After getting past the jumping section you turn to your right and then activate another rune.
4) Kingston’s Area – This is where you do all that you were talking about and activate the rune on top of the pedestal.

If you have done all of these sections, then I would guess that you forgot to actually activate one of the runes. Yes, the runes to reference particular sections, but I do not know which ones are activated by which sections. For a much better description on what to do, go to http://www.gamebanshee.com/dungeonlords/walkthrough.php

Another thing, if three runes were lit up when you got to the section, then you know you have not completed this last Kingston section. In this last section, you have to do the chess puzzle, get the shadow sword, go back to Kingston and kill the three shadow monsters that are tormenting him. He will then lead you through some shadow gates and eventually you get back to the top of the pedestal with the last rune on it.
