Anyone know about any info on setting up AI / waypoints and using the Waypoint Editor in PainEd for SP levels ? I've found out a few things but it's all a bit in the dark and it's very time consuming trying to work it out...And when it's time I'm consuming with little progress when I normally would be beer consuming with much progress, then it gets very difficult to continue. Today I wait for info, and choose beer.

Its always helpful to check out the existing levels and their scripts.
Make sure you get a program to unpack the LScipts.pak file. Its hard to set up such things without it.
http://multiex.xentax.com/ is good.

...and do not use waypoints. Areas work fine...on the same way like waypoints.

"Its always helpful to check out the existing levels and their scripts."
It's good advice and I've found a few things since heeding it...
"...and do not use waypoints."
My level does not work well without waypoints I found. So I imported a waypoint file from an existing level, deleted all but one waypoint, saved the waypoint file as new and set it in the CLevel, and started dropping hundreds of little points all over the place ! Waypoint editing is a real task but it makes the AI navigate easier. PainEd helps understand functions by the mouse over info popups in the task bar and you get the hang of it after a while.
Basics are :
Left Shift + L/Mouse = Select Waypoint
Left Shift + R/Mouse = Deselect Waypoint
Left Shift + M/Mouse = Copy Waypoint
Left Shift + Mouse Click Drag = Select Multiple Points
Use the task bar to delete waypoints and select all / deselect all among other commands. Be careful when selecting or copying because it's easy to select existing waypoints in the level and copying them without even knowing so I've found a habit of deselecting all before copying when first getting the hang of it ( using other functions of the waypoint editor ). After a while you develop a way to do things faster.

I didn't need that on this way and have much more areas and routes in my level as PK/BooH ever used. And this waypoints wouldn't help on flying objects. For all other objects is the y-koord. not really relevant like the same for the direction of it.
