Hi, I am new to the forum and havent got the game yet, but I want to. Before I do I want to know, is multiplayer a monthly bill? I have seen games similar to this such as Diablo that are free, but most MMORPGs are a monthly bill, and I want to know if this one is too.

There is no monthly fee. You can connect locally, direct IP, or through gamespy. Several people, including myself, are unable to play over the internet because the lag can be in excess of 30 seconds. I have not seen anyone report lag in a local lan game.

I'd have to say that if on-line MP over the internet is a big, big thing for you, you may want to wait and see if they patch it up in this area. Currently it's extermely buggy and laggy over the internet/Gamespy to the point of not being playable for a lot of folks.
On top of this, the way saved characters and joining games is handled is pretty ugly and very limited. I won't go into details, but suffice to say that it's not nearly as easy as Diablo to take any of your characters and just jump into a game.
On a side note, this is definilty NOT a MMORPG. It's MP model is much more like Diablo.

Thats great, I have road runner which is broadband, so does that make a difference lag wise?
