Ok,a wtf momment,HELP !!

Ok,
Are we supposed to use "Quick saves" or not?
I went back to finish up a previous level (Abandoned Factory) for the 5
star challange and then I proceeded to continue finishing the game.

Well, when I try to load up my most current level (Tower), I get sent to
a differnt level,not sure where, and some strange weapon I've never seen
before is in my hand.

Can someone explain the save system to me please.

Oh and it says I never finished the "Abandoned Factory"
either. :(

Each save hold in the actually stand in your gameplay. If you jump back to make something in an ealier level and after this you load a "higher" save...then this save can't know what you do meanwhile...

Sometimes its a little hard to understand Varus' english....what he was trying to say, is that whatever save game you load, whatever you had unlocked at that time, cards/level/etc., always remains the same. If you load a save game from the Abandoned Factory after you beat the Tower level, all levels after the Abandoned Factory you will have to beat again.
If you have progressed a few more levels into the game and then load a quick save from a level earlier in the game, those levels will not be available.

I got in the habit of emptying my unwanted quicksaves each time I exited the game. Same with the checkpoint saves.
