I just finished translating Painkiller Black Edition from English to Swedish. It took a good while and now it's 03:49 a.m. here.
Don't know what I'm gonna use it for, though. :D
I'll give it a run through for fun, and for the corniness.

Well done....send it to Kalme...

Thanks. Yeah, I could send it to Kalme. He's the one that helped me with the techicals.
It's just the first draft yet, though, so I'll make some changes and remove some inconsistencies. :)

hehe, reminds me of when me and a guy from Poland (Sorry, i forget the name) translated the 1.1 patch to English. The patch got held back by DC in the US (because it let you play without a CD) and several new things needed to be translated.
I sent him the Polish list and he translated the polish version of 'Lots and lots of gold granted' as 'Golden Shower' which means something very different in the US. :)

Hahaha. :D
He actually did that? That's genius, you should've kept it in the game for fun. :D

Hahahaha, that was before I joined this forum I guess. Very nice :D
@Emultra: if you're finished and want your work to be included in the next Powermad version, sent it to me.

When is it due? I'm gonna be away for a week (probably) and only after that will I polish the text.

A new version of Powermad with some new features and a lot of new bugfixes is ready for months. I didn't want to release it because I was told that a new patch is coming soon, which always requires a complete examination of Powermads code. Obviously the new patch didn't happen until now and I have no idea when (if?) it will be ready. As soon as it's out, a new Powermad will be released too. So I guess we have another week easily :D.

Well I'm going cancel a plane ticket now, with no refund.
I guess that means I can work on the translation though. :)
Some lines are too long and stretch outside of bounds, and some need conformation.

Kalme, I have a quick PowerMad-question... As I mentioned, I've just started dealing with MP too, and I installed PK++ in the last weekend. However I noticed that it "affected" PowerMad: the movies at the startup are all back and the PM-version number disappeared from the title screen. Does it mean that PowerMad's main part got completely overwritten by PK++ or its fixes are still working? I'm sorry, I haven't tested it yet...

Unfortunately PK++ doesn't do too well combined with Powermad (or the other way round :P). That is because they are modifying the same script files which results in some sort of corruption. I don't have the current version of PK++ here, but I know they also added some sort of cheat protection lately which may cause even more trouble (haven't looked into it yet).
It's recommended to rename the LScripts folder to something else when you want to use PK++ and to set it back to "LScripts" when you want to use Powermad. Sorry for this inconvenience. You can write a batchfile for this that does it automatically. Another solution would be to copy your Painkiller folder and use one for PK++ and one for Powermad. That way you won't have to rename anything but you need double the disc space.
The next version of Powermad works similar to PK++, so both mods can be installed at the same time and don't interfere with each other anymore. The drawback of this is that Powermad then can't be used together with other mods anymore (at all), e.g. Hills from Varus etc.

This wouldn't be a good idea. There only some people using the PK++ and if those have to disable Powermad by renaming then is this a good anti cheat too...

Kalme, thanks for the answer! Actually, renaming the folder really isn't a big deal for me, so I can do that next time; a batch-file is also a great idea, and we could share it too with the Fans...

I thought of this too and maybe I'll release two versions... one that works independent from other mods and one that sits above all other mods like the current version
@SYS: hmm, I just searched through the readme files and couldn't find anything. I swear I wrote a warning about PK++ somewhere, seems it hasn't been included in the final release. Sharing that batchfile sure would be a nice idea. I think I'm even going to adjust the Powermad installer this evening.
