Why doesn't my gold carry over to BoH from Painkiller??

Bought expansion pack and loaded up. Started BoH. I had my Tarot cards but no Gold. I had over 3k at end of original game. Wouldn't the gold carry over?? What good is it to have the cards, but no gold??

Patch the game, load the last autosave from Painkiller (the one after you finished Lucifer off), then Sign the Pact on BOoH. Choose "Yes" on starting a new game, and "No" on the next question.
