Is pk supposed to feel slow in the sense that it seems like he is walking and the monsters are slowly jumpin/running like they are on the moon? i dont remember it being like this, hlp me out plz, thanks

I remember this happened to me once and nothing I tried seemed to work. I had to turn my computer off, restart PK and load an earlier savegame or restart the level from the beginning. It was a very odd thing. Maybe others can provide more details

Maybe you have installed Powermad and once slowed down the world speed with "-" key. If saved at this moment then you saved this too.

I guess you haven't a lower system and all advanced settings on high, have you?

No seriously,
Click Start, and then click Run.
Type in MSCONFIG and click OK.
Under the GENERAL TAB, click SELECTIVE STARTUP.
Below the Selective Startup option, click to clear the following
check boxes:
o Process SYSTEM.INI File
o Process WIN.INI File
o Load Startup Items

Under the SERVICES TAB, click to select the Hide All Microsoft Services
check box, and then click Disable All.

Click OK, and then click Restart.

Once your computer restarts and the notification window for the
System Configuration appears, place a checkmark in the box next to

"Don't show this message or launch the System Configuration Utility
when Windows starts" and click the OK button.
This will give you a CLEAN BOOT for you computer, I find this helps alot
with issuse's such as yours as well as sound problems.

This is ofcourse assumming your drivers are all up to date and the game
is patched properly.

I never installed Powermad but this happened to me once.

It's definitely not an issue related to system speed or resources. There's a very clear difference between low framerates and high framerates except with everything (including Daniel) running in slow motion.

Of course this just applies to me, the one time I saw this problem. The OP can comment if he likes.

It reminds me if you are in demon morph mode and load a previous savegame, then the game plays with a slight fisheye distortion, like a little bit of demon morph left over. Anybody ever notice this? The only way to fix this is to quit the game and restart. I wonder if the same thing happens on occasion if you use one of the haste cards?

Yes...this is the same method because the save game data saves ALL...your speed too.

Yes...it's my opinion too...it's like a must to have it on this way.

I dont know how to run a video but my specs are a new,
AMD Athlon 64 3000+
1 gig memory
160g hdd
Nvidia fx 5200


And on my old
Celeron 1.7
512 memory
30gig
nvidia fx 5200 it worked fine


I have never installed cheats, well on the old one i used cheats but never installed anything i dont thinkk, but i hated the cheats because i felt it made me not as "Good" in the game and me personally cheats suck...

Uh ill try that windows config stuff, and i will let you know tomorrow how it goes when i get around to it.

I never realised that the game was running slightly slow, until I replaced my Ti4200 with a 6600GT, and (pardon my saying so) the Ti was a better card that yours is. I'm not saying I'm POSITIVE this is the problem, but it did sound familiar...

yea thats what a firnd of mine said, but no job till the middle of month, well hopefully, SO yea...gonan be a while im goin to have to deal with the slowness. I did that stuff...Maybe it all might be in my head too, can someone show me or tell me how to record this stuff?
