Well, I thought it was about time to start a thread regarding Heuristic Park and the information that has been provided to us on their website:

http://www.heuristicpark.com/

After you read all the "fantasy PR" (and I stress FANTASY) on their homepage, click on NEWS and you will notice something else that should generate some questions.

The last news item on their page was posted in May 2004. It is now August 2005 and that website might as well be a cobweb.

I have seen several posts on various boards regarding people sending sincere emails asking the status of the game and they get no reply. That's not very businesslike.

Personally, I think the way they run their website mirrors the way they run their business...very poorly. No news, no updates, no nothing.

It reminds me of the Gamefly commercial: "You have nothing, zip, nada! We have Nada 3!"
Except, they don't even have that. Give your consumers some information more than once a year and a half if you're going to put up a website.

I am starting to agree with you unfortunately. :( I have stressed that we should be patient with HP, but HP seems to have gone completely silent. The only thing I can think of right now is that maybe they are working on the patch for the next release into the Asian market, but I could be totally wrong on this one. I am beginning to have my doubts about HP now. Sad, this game has "could have been" written all over it.

I have changed my mind on this after more thought. I am sure something good this way cometh. Jeremy[DC] is back and all will be well in the near future. HP/DC may be agonizingly slow, but they have not abandoned us yet. This situation reminds me of the fiasco that happened between Activision and HP 5 years ago. Activision would not fund a patch, so HP released their own without Activisions support. I think Activision does host the patch now.

If I may interject at this point, Poot, your faith is inspiring. However given the track record of this unfortunate project and the abyssmal level of feedback from everyone remotely involved in producing this fiasco, I would earnestly advise you to temper your optimism lest you come to grief on the rocks of reality. I do not forsee an agreeable end to this mess coming any time soon if at all. In fact if I was a betting man, I would put money on that an argument is raging as we speak between all parties (and personalities) involved about who is to take responsibility for this situation. My two cents.
