Need help in Colliseum level of BOH Expansion.

I can't seem to jump over the fire pit in the Colliseum level of Battle out of ****. I always just fall short or the other side. I tried to jump at different spots with the same result. Is there a way to use the wall for these jumps? I tried that also with no luck. I just can't seem to get enough speed to jump far enough. Thanks. :(

You need to be in JUST the right spot to do the jump - look for a small ledge sticking out (I think it's on the left side). It can be done, but it's a pain (quick-save at that spot before attempting).

Varus, Frag, and others have videos showing techniques for different areas - check the stickys list for links...

Thanks. I'll look at those videos. I did save just before the jump; thankfully. I didn't notice a ledge on the left side. I'll check it out.

Call it cheating but I use the walls to jump across the pits. I aim for the wall near the far side of a pit and do a second jump when I hit... never fails to get me across the gaps. Note, this is really on required to clear the third pit, the others can be done in single jumps without much bother.

Thanks T'krau, as has been mentioned a number of times on this board, there is usually more than one way to perform an action in PK. Another instance is the Holy Item on the Catacombs level (the one in the grave)... in the video, you drag a TNT box to the location and use it to help you climb up to the second tier of holes. I found that quite tedious (and sometimes managed to blow up the box before getting it to the required location) so now I simply perform a wall climb and jump between the holes to reach it.

What do you mean wallclimb? Is this some new technique?
You jump on the vertical wall and then - up in the second floor?
If so, where else you saw what you are describing now?
Though i don't believe in what you say, could you explian in in details?

Yeah, I'd like to hear about that one as well. I hate messing with the TNT box to get that secret. I usually ignore that secret unless I have an afternoon to waste.

I haven't tried climbing in the Catacombs (yet...), but I have found a few areas that are climbable, most notably the Stone Pit. There are routes all OVER the place in there...

Oh, not a completely vertical call you do need some sort of a foothold. The ones I refer to are like the ones in Stonepit or Underworld as T'krau described. You'd be quite surprised what you can actually climb in Painkiller and BooH!

But, the question is how to get the Holy item found in the second tier crypt of Catacombs... if you backtrack to the previous room and look at the join to the crypt room, you'll notice it isn't quite vertical. Start climb-jumping until you reach the roof and then simply jump around the corner. You should end up in the crypt next to the Holy item (I am going from memory so it may not be 100% accurate as I am at work ATM). Then simply jump around to the next crypt and retrieve the Holy item. It takes a few well timed jumps but about the same difficulty as the column secret in PK:Palace where you climb the ladder and jump around the windows or the under-the-bridge secrets in PK:Ruins.

I discovered one when I was after all secrets on Catacombs and had destroyed all the boxes before realising I needed at least one. I then tried jumping on surfaces all around the place and this one worked!
