View Full Version : Why is nobody playing multiplayer?

I just got Painkiller: Gold Edition a few days ago and am finding it very hard to find servers with players in them. The servers are either completely empty or have only 1 or 2 people in them. I downloaded the latest version of the game but I am still having this problem. Do people just not play Painkiller anymore?

There are players - just not many. There are a couple of servers which are often full during the evening's (European time).
But - I also wish there were more players.

Welcome to the boards!
The game seems to have morphed into a cult thing - not a lot of people have heard of it (in spite if it being used by the CPL as an 'official' game). There have been a number of issues w/the MP side of the game since it came out, also. I've always thought that the MP side was stuck on because they (DC/PCF) had to, rather than wanting to. The game is/was primarily about the SP experience.

Alright thanks guys. I just expected to see alot more people playing. I had always heard how good Painkiller was but just never went out and got it. Needless to say I was shocked to only see about 15 people total playing online. The game is alot of fun though. I've enjoyed the few multiplayer games I've played and the singleplayer is lots of fun too.

He is Medic? So I know one MEDIC......

And that Medic is "horrible", I must say... I mean, that guy is extremly good... :D I think, Pool agrees (I'm going to answer in PM again, Pool - soon! THX for PKDs! :))... :) But GoreGrinder is NOT Medic - but He's another excellent Player!
I agree - that MEDIC is very good gamer, but we have some kind of incomprehension about my game style.....and....

Str1ker, tonight we were "insulting" Him for a short while (from me, it was rather a test: killing a standing enemy), and He didn't like it at all... ;) Naturally, normally I don't shoot at someone who isn't moving at all. But earlier - a few weeks ago - I was talking to Medic, and He answered, but in the meantime He shredded me, crucified me, and so on (while I was standing in typing)... It was annoying... :)

Ok, maby i could join your german or hungarian servers guys, tell me how do they call (what is the IP of them?)
I'll search and tell if it is possible for me to join and play.
