WARNING! Do NOT use fixed nocd for Myst V 1.0

I had the common sense to rename the eoa.exe before trying the fixed file. With it, you cannot use your saves and the startup doesn't even offer you the Continue option.

With the fixed exe, you have to start all over and you can't start a game with different players either.

Once the fixed exe is deleted and your eoa.exe is restored, the saves and game are back to normal.

You know...I can see companies putting security in to do a CD check when you install the game. If it checks out, it installs. If not, it doesn't.

I never understood why they forced you to keep the CD in the drive just to play the game. That is annoying as H3LL, especially if you carry around a gaming laptop.

If companies would get their acts together, people wouldn't have to search around for No-CD cracks to begin with.

Yeh, it's sorta lame that a copy will install but it fails the check. Thank goodness someone out there eventually creates a fixed exe, then another disc can be created with the fixed exe included in an extra directory. Seems as if game creators JUST DON'T GET IT! SHEESH!

Gamer's Lament

(To be sung to the tune of "Home on the Range")

Oh give me a game,
Where the rule book ain't lame,
And the AI is clever and brisk.
Where the GUI works fine,
And the graphics - divine!
And will run without using the disk!
