My friends and I have been trying to play this game over lan for the longest time, but this one bug keeps stopping us dead in our tracks. Here's the problem, when we leave the first city and travel to the elf village, we all go into the fighters guild weapon shop place.
We zone into the area just fine, buy new stuff and so on. The problem occurs when we try to LEAVE the shop. One of us is teleported into the roof of the weapon shop and we can't move at all! The rest of us are teleported to the area where the dragons are. This happens EVERY SINGLE TIME!
I'm telling everyone, get around 6 people together and start a game, when you get to the weapon shop in the elf village and try to exit, you'll find that one of you is stuck in the ceiling and all the rest of you are in limbo with the dragons.
PLEASE fix this problem, this seriously hinders our ability to play the game.

Yeah, we are having the same problem in the Arindale Weaponry shop (or whatever it is called).
We are playing a LAN game with just 3 people. Every time we try to leave the shop, one of us ends up stuck in the roof outside the shop. I believe I know what the problem might be.
I have noticed that when we come out of the shop, the game spawns us all in the same spot outside the front doors. The problem with this is that no two players can occupy the same spot, so it seems as though the game stacks the players on top of one another. The game places the first player on the ground, then puts the second player on top of the first and the third on top of the second, if you follow what I'm saying.
Since we are all stacked up, it ends up with the third player protruding into the ceiling on the undercover area just outside the shop. The other two players can walk away, but the third player is stuck in the roof.
I haven't tried it with more than 3 players, so I'm not sure what you mean about the other players being teleported off with the dragons (which are in the valley behind Arindale by the way - just in case you didn't know where you were). Maybe because there is so many of you, the game can't stack the players that high, so it freaks out or something.
On the other hand, I haven't tried it with less than 3 players (never played single-player), so not sure what would happen there. I think it would be fine with less than 3 players as the game cannot stack two players high enough to reach the roof.
Anyway, we are going to skip this shop for now until a patch comes out that fixes this. I know there are quest things in there we need to do, so they'll just have to wait.

any door in arindale that has a roof over it will potentially cause this problem.
we .. Bi..uhh brought this to the developers attention.. yea.. back when the game first came out.
The "teleport" occurs when a character gets stuck in the roof or over the roof, occasionally he/she is moved north and west to the top of the mountains around arindale and can end up standing nest to fire drakes.. hows that for a nice hi, hello, welcome to death.

is it always a dif. person who gets teleported every time or is it always one persons computer?

Yes it is a different person. It seems as though whoever actually opens the door is fine, but then everyone else is fair game to be stuck in the roof... or worse.
Several people have finished the game in LAN Multiplayer mode. What is the workaround? Does the 1.4 version (player made English version) fix this?
