I know there are quite a few Computer Gurus that frequent this Board. Hoping I am able to get some help here on my Problem

I take 8 different Medicines per Day,Everyday, a all year long. I am up night & Day. Couple of the Medications I take at the same time-the rest vary. Needless to say it is proving very dfficult to do with Pen & Paper.Something invariable gets snafu'd. About 3 weeks ago I began a search on the Internet for such a Simple Program but it has turned out anythng but Simple.

In the very beginning I found a Proggy ( all I can recall about it now is that it was label "CAC" on the Icon.) It did exactly everything I needed. When it came to choosing a Sound I choose "Rooster". Bad choice because when it sounded it brought everything in the House Immediately up in arms-both Puppies & the Cat. Second time around it was just as bad so I decided "Well I found this one on the very first try so surely there are otheres without a "Rooster" Sound.

Boy,was I ever so very, very wrong. After 3 Weeks of searching I have found nothing that works. Never even could find the Original one that I found on the first try.
The Program need to be Freeware.
I operate win XP Pro.

Anyone that can help I would I would appreciate it beyond Words. TIA.

Here's one called Med-A-Base:

http://www.download.com/Med-A-Base/3000-2129_4-10126559.html?tag=lst-0-5

There are also other various programs out there for Pocket PC and Palm.

I hope you've seen another doctor for a second opinion on all that medicine you are taking. The side effects of some of that stuff can really mess you up.

Thanks for the advice but I need a COMPUTER based proggy ONLY. No Palm stuff. Not into that. All I do on My Computer is play Games.

I have been with the same group of Specialists now for the past 7 yrears and am well satisfied with how they treat me. Before that you can bet I did some "Switching around".

Like all the other Proggys I found the Url you gave was Free (not FREEWARE)
they want $35 after that. I just cannot afford that.

Sure appreciate your reply though.Thanks!

So you can spend $35 for a game, but not for a program that is beneficial to your life?

...ok. /shrug

Hmm... You complain about spending 35 for a game, yet you have a team of medical advisers. How is that funded? Is it the V.A. (the only hope a veteran has), or are you on a freeby?

Now don't get me wrong, but I simply can't fathom $35 for a game as opposed to THOUSANDS for a team of medical people!!!

George, you grabbed something out of "Thin Air" because there is nothing in my posts about complaining about the $40 Cost of this Game. I did not Pay for it.[QUOTE]

And you are correct "the V.A. IS the only hope a veteran has"!
When I first began having these problems I used Local Physicians and Hospital.I thought not to be a Burden on the System but after paying out a bit over $112,000 I had to find another way because this **** near did break me. Searching the VA website I found a VA Hospital not more than 50 Miles from Me.I got myself enrolled there as quickly as possible. Wish I had considered the VA from the beginning.

Neither could I but since thats not the Case here its a Dead issue.

A final thought; In case you weren't a veteran, if you could prove you were at least 1/8 native american, that also would qualify you with the V.A.

I guess we don't understand fully what your situation is...if you are legit or just leeching off the system. If I'm wrong, I apologize profusely. If not, maybe you can find your software in the same place as you found Dungeon Lords.

From your point of view Shock I can very well understand where you are Comming from.
I am indeed a Veteran in the full sense of the Word. I received my Induction Papers on 30,June 1950 and mustered out 28June 1956.

I get my Games primarily from one of my Nephews who rooms with 3 friends at University of Texas. They play Games like Mad Dogs, and even from unlikely places like the Young Man who sacks my Groceries.About every 3 Months He has one for me.

I was NOT asking for someone to buy the Computer Alarm Reminder and send it to me -I was merely asking some one to point the way---I didn't know then that I should have specified "FREEWARE"

Let me get this straight... You want a simple program that you can have give you a message/sound when you need to take your medicine? Sort of like how outlook calendar works? Do you have MS office?

BTW I'd also suggest seeing another doctor, one that practices holoistic medicine not just another "Paid by FDA to promte drugs" doctor. A freind of mine was given a life time prescription by a normal doc but his symptoms went completely away after seeing a holostic doctor. Of course the original doctor said after he was "cured" that he must of made a wrong analysis. I guess it all depends on what your ailment is, and the knowledge of the doctors you can go to.

WHo said I spent 35-40 for this game? Or anything for that matter!

Oh,well,You Almost tried to help someone before your natural predilictions got in the way.

Yep I was shocked :D

BTW, have you ever used window sbuilt in task scheduler? Just curious because it'd be really simple to make a program that mad a sound on launch and use task manager to do the scheduling of when it ran. I guess it wouldn't really be that hard to make a task scheduler. If you can't find anything else I could always make you a program... Is my email listed in my profile?!? Oh just PM me if this forum isn't bugged it should email me.... I haven't been checking back here to often.

Forget the doctors. Just stare at this and repeat "all my ailments will magically go away. I will remember to take my medicine. I love Dungeon Lords and I will buy a copy for everyone on Earth."

HA-HA, i imagine my 83 grandpa palying a militaristic game, since he was in WW2 with the russians and went in Berlin with them, was hit in humerus.

5 years ago he still played basletball outhouse with my and and my younger cousin!

He saw me and cousin playing PC, and said: ooo, how cool!

Got a perfect working 32x CD-Rom reader for $1 last week. Been wanting another one because I don't like putting extra wear-and-tear on my burner by using it to play games, but didn't want to spend the money. Got exactly what I wanted for one buck!

Freaky graphic, isn't it!?! I blew it up pretty large, and then I thought it was an animated gif. But looking at the filename - it's a jpg. No animation possible.

Maybe there is some permanent effect from those wild parties I barely remember in the 70's - some latent psychosis that just needs the right trigger...

Or perhaps it is a portal to another dimension (http://www.scifi.com/twilightzone/) in time and space.

Hmmm...

HEHE! 5 STARS FOR THIS ONE!

Have you ever taken 2 Hydrocodone at once--ALMOST feels like the 70's.
