Please go to this site to read the article, I had one on here, but ohhh nooo they deleted it because they don't want you to know that they are installing HIDDEN DRIVERS WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT, which has been proven to be a security risk as it has a level 0 ring clearance, just waiting for people to exploit it with trojans, here is the link

Ah, have used Starforce for years and no problems occured. All the viruses and such... Just get a good firewall and antivirus.
P.S. All the russian localisations (legal translated copies published by local publishers) use Starforce.

Microsoft split the security levels awhile back to eliminate the security risk, Starforce gets system level access instead of user level. all the antivirus software in the world won't protect you.....they've opened up the door and told them ..just jump on my back and COME ON IN

Xenus, even the game developer MindWare Studios admitted to me that it is a Starforce issue for the ones who cannot save without crashing. Do you work for Starforce?!? Maybe for DreamCatcher?!?

I have the feeling that it was DreamCatcher who slapped on Starforce to try and protect themselves, or so they thought...

I've made a post about it in the main cold war thread and also sent an e-mail from Dreamcatcher's web form. There's really no reason to use Starforce unless you want to loose sales. All the negatives outweigh the intention of this malware.

I want to see a DEMO - and it wants to install some kind of DRIVER? And it requires me to REBOOT? WTF?! Come on, guys, where do you live? Are you trying to suggest I get the full, pirated version - which will probably have this stoopid protection disabled? Is punishing your potential & real customers so important to you? Because they're the only ones who will be impacted by this protection thing.

Simply put - HANDS OFF MY COMPO WITH YOUR STUPID DRIVER STUFF.
