Electronics Boutique had a release date of 11/21 for quite some time, it is now 12/5. Looks like we're in for the delay chain with a just-in-time-for-christmas release date.
Oh well, it was to be expected. I don't care how long it takes really, as long as it's released finished and without numerous bugs. I have learned my lesson about wishing games would come out sooner than later.

Yes. I usually don't buy games until the final patch is out. Unfortunately I thought that DL v1.3 was the final patch - boy was I wrong! (Of course many people think that it is the final patch!) I've made a promise to myself that I will be sure to visit the forums first from now on. Sometimes on games that I am not too anxious for I actually wait for the the super-duper gold game-of-the-year edition containing all expansions, and presumably all patched-up. But this was not true for Painkiller Black, another Dreamcatcher game, which contained the expansion but still needed the patch which was huge: over 346MB. Also, another drawback of these editions is that you don't usually get the paper manuals, only on disk.

Well, by now I assume most have heard that Oblivion is delayed until somewhere in the Feb - Apr 2006 timeframe.

Oblivion.... hopefully the title isn't a prediction of the game's release date.
