Just looking for any good and cheap games. I dont want games that u run into a random battle and a menu comes up asking if u want to attack, defend, use an item, or escape. RPG like Gothic. And also want a no monthly fee mmorpg. I've played RYL, Never Winter Nights, Rakion, Gunz, This pos game, "Minions of Mirth", Knight Online and Anarchy.. Maybe a few others, any other games out there that are actually good?

Most no-monthly fee MMORPGS are crap. Your best bet right now is Guild Wars and that's it.

Guild wars suck as bad as the rest, in my opinion. 2 days of playing, it got boring, so limited what u do on there. Lvl 20, all has 200 hp, maybe more if they got those items that adds hp, wee.. Guilds Wars isnt close to being as bad as this game.

Then maybe MMOs aren't your thing and you should find some other genre. You're not going to find something for nothing when it comes to good MMOs.

There should be a game out there SOMEPLACE.. MMORPG's are being made like every day. Even tho some are gay, like Sci-Fi mmorpg's. I think those are retarded, You shoot your machine gun at him for 2 damage. Why'd you stop..? Geeze stupid. I can kinda understand rifles, but if I was shooting, I'd be atleast trying to dodge their bullets.
Also the mmorpg's thats only based on combat, and has very few skills u can learn and no strategy on what u should put up, so everyone are the same people. Btw, most of those Korean mmorpg's are like this. Im badly offended cause im half korean. If I made a mmorpg, it'll probably be the best, or atleast one of hte top 10 :) (I hope)

But are you going to hand it out for free to people like yourself who are looking for free MMOs?

A long time ago, I played a game titled Heavy Metal F.A.K.K. and it was good for its time period. There's a review of sorts at http://www.avault.com/reviews/review_temp.asp?game=fakk2

A heads-up on Gothic II Gold... The game comes with 4 CD's - 3 are the original game and the forth is the addon (unmarked). If you want to play the addon enhanced version you must first have the normal game installed (1st 3 cd's), then you have to insert the 4th Cd and seperately install the addon... but, your old saves are now copied off and you Must start from the beginning.

The game manual warns that if you install the addon everything will be more difficult... fights, learning and many other aspects, so if you are a newbie to the game it might be wise to play without the addon first.... the good part is Gothic II has incredible replay value, so you won't mind playing it over with the addon... believe me, when you win the game, the first thing you'll want to do is start a new character... addon or not :)

Good luck - and may the Gods of Innos be with you!

UPDATE: Gothic II Gold has vastly improved graphics and many new items that previously did not exist... do not take any location for granted... explore!

I'm really impressed with this addon... what a great way to relive the Gothic II experience, new places, new items, new graphics, more storyline... I'm in gaming heaven!

Are the graphics improved from the very beginning of the game or just where the add-on stuff starts?

Gorn

The improvements are right from the start... foe example, potions now sparkle, the waterfall off to the left after leaving Xardas's tower is now two falls with smaller ones around it. You will find belts, stone tablets and a lot of other stuff in the beginning too, none of it in the normal game.
Also, Xardas has some new questions/answers when you begin to include the new guilds and players in the world.
One thing that's easier, all spells now cost 5 mana, so when you start, you can cast two fireballs instead of one... but, many creatures are harder to kill.

You can now find an english speaking section for the Gothic-Games at one of the biggest Gothic-related forums ever: http://forum.worldofplayers.de/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=160

We made it a few months ago, because more and more fans of this german RPG from all over the world asked for it.

At "World of Players" you can also find special places for TES3 (Morrowind), Dungeon Lords and many other RPGīs, including the upcoming polish RPG "The Witcher". Other RPG sections are in planning. Our forum was founded a few years ago, itīs a private project and the actual number of members is round about 23000. 10% of our regular visitors are from the US - so come along and have fun...

The Gothic2 AddOn "Night of the Raven" reworks the main program G2 in many parts, the difficulty is now much higher right from the start. You have to plan your charakter more careful, equipment is very important for success.
The new Area behind the Gate, opened (with little help from you) by a group of Watermages, expands the whole game by around 1/3 - and itīs worth to investigate each square, including the two camps of the pirates and the bandits... :)
Also many modīs are based on this AddOn, so get it soon as possible at your local dealer... ;)
And perhaps we will meet there one day - iīm moderating there under my german nick "zyklop".

WOW... No! MMORPG's, not Gothic Gold, make a new thread about gothic gold if u want to talk about it ;) .. well anyways, I found out a nice mmorpg with great graphics. www.silkroadonline.net Altho it is kinda laggy.. well for me atleast, Im on cable and server is in Korea I think. For some reason this game stands out from the rest of the Korean games, PvP rocks in the game. After 10 you can put on a cape and pvp, if someone is wearing the same cape as you, you can't kill them, unless its the bright orange cape, then everyone with a cape is hostile! :) Although there are no classes, you can choose how your character is going to be towards fighter and mage. Only 2 attribute points, strength and intelligence. I think thats pretty cool too.
Think about it, strength is pretty much vitality too. In real life, you see a wimpy nerd and he's taking hits from a bully like its nothing. Not real.
Magic is also cool. You have 4 differen't sections, Ice, Lightning, Fire, and Force (Heal).
Ice is cheap altho it is very helpful, cause you can freeze or give enemy frostbite which slows them down alot. You can also create a barrier that absorbs physical attack for a certain ammount of damage, along with shooting ice particles and other junk.
Thunder is more powerful than ice but isn't as helpful, only helpful spell is like the Grasswalk, Phantom Walk, and GrassWalk2 (I forgot name). They increase speed, and Phantom walk lets you teleport someplace nearby at a low level.. Not sure cause I dont have it yet. Thunder is good with dealing with multiple enemies, the thunder ball move is powerful.
Fire is the most powerful, and its noticeable. You can create a barrier and it'll absorb magical damage for a certain ammount of damage. I think you can also do fire balls with this, not sure though, I havent been interested in the Fire.
Force is just healing powers. Beggining of it you get self heal, then cure, then heal other, ressurect, blah blah.. you know.
Ever power gets its own infuse weapon technique. Like infuse weapon with ice, thunder, or fire.. you cant infuse it with force (heal). Fire gives good damage and has a chance of "Burning" (DoT), Ice has 25% frostbite, and 5% of freezing, Thunder has a chance of giving them shock (lowers evade rate, how hopeless). Here is order of weakest to strongest. Ice-Thunder--Fire.

Is Gothic 2 Gold multiplayer?

The title says "Any good RPG's/MMORPG's?", which translates to either... the title is not "Any good RPG's MMORPG's?"

No one has hi-jacked anything here, the topic I posted was correct.

Dig into it dude! It is a java application, not just maps. As you click down into the screens you enter the game world with 360 degree rotation. It's cool!
