Using same character in any game

HI! So the game works ok for me. My wife had issues with everything being grey but the patch and new vid drivers helped that.

BUT...I can't seem to move my character from game to game while retaining the goods and experience I have. For ex., everyother RPG (diablo, neverwinter nights, bards tale, dungeon siege...) always let you run the same character in any game. I don't want to BRAG about how cool my dude is, I want to use him to go with others on quests. I don't care if the quests are the same since we have the option of cranking up the difficulty and # of encounters, but it seems someone was asleep at the wheel as far as using the same guy is concerned. Also, why can't we have more than one character? :confused: :confused: :confused:

I feel I may have wasted $$$ on this game, I will knowto check on-line first as I see everyone (even the designer apparently) thinks this game sux.

Any ideas pls?

you can use your character is the multiplayer you have to click on the load savedgame and click on your character then pops up and then your rockin' and rollin'. :)

Well if for some odd reason your still here, there is a trick to do this somewhat complicated, though doing this will make you have all items which makes quests respond weirdly. The MP game was never meant to be replayed by same character (well it was, just they never completed that option so...)

their is a roster.dat file in your game driectory, this keeps your last created character at level 1 for host, and last used character with all stuff for client.

1: host game load save, get out, backup you roster.dat on client (there might also be another file it has been a while just check last modified date)

2: switch who is hosting and repeat step 1.

3. Now copy those backups back to the directory, and create new game... Select the skilled person from you roster :)

4. Pray that having items won't screw up quests too much...
