I did wonder why the fellow in the store insisted I buy the USED copy of this game for $15 less than the normal price Now I know.
I was actually enjoying the game in a bemused sort of way, although truthfully, I'd recognized that there seemed to be couple of minor things missing, like a "Load Game" option, and music. Although I thought that perhaps this was to make me feel incompetent for actually allowing my character to die. Which I did, a lot, since I found the combat system a wee bit mystifying, seeing as how the different moves all come randomly from the same mouse click. I thought it was because I didn't know what I was doing. Now I feel better. I'm not incompetent after all (well, undoubtedly I am in many ways, but not with respect to this game). So it's good news all 'round! Cause for celebration, in fact!
Snicker.
But hey. Every now and then you get suckered when you buy a game. I just laugh and chalk it up to experience.
Personally,I feel bad for the people moderating this forum. For heaven's sake, let up on them. It's only a game - less than the price of a decent dinner. Let (s)he who hath no sin cast the first stone, and all that. The patch will probably come out relatively soon, and if it does, well and good. If not - there's always something else.

I prefer Keith. Mick's too pretty to throw.
Where are the stones and who do we start with?
Let's start with the

You're too old to know who the Rolling Stones and Styx are? You must listen to country and classical music.

No - not too old for the Stones. Nobody's too old to know the Stones. Aren't they all about 85?
But I have never been a Styx fan, so had no idea what they looked like. Not on my radar at all.
Styx and Stones. Heh heh.
OK. Let he who hath no sin cast the first Styk.

Oh, THEM!
What can I say, not on my radar. Remember that song, though. At least, I remember the chorus. I was too busy having sympathy for the devil.
Oops, my character just died. Better see if I can get her out of the mess she's in. No Cure Poison potions, and a whole lot of those @&6%&^@!! Killer Bees.

Nope.. it's a Styx song.... you can check out the lyrics (and the lyrics to just about every song that just about every band has ever written) here:

Styx Sux. (IMHO)
I was always a Zeppelin fan and for a good while a Black Sabbath fan (with and without Ozzy). I always thought the big hair bands were for sissies.

I completely agree with you.... I was just pointing out where you could find song lists and lyrics.... I'm personally a fan of many heavy and psychedelic bands.... Rush and Hawkwind being a couple of my favorites (flame me if you must for my tastes... I can take it).

Ah, just what we need on a game forum - a lively discussion of music.
Now, I WAS a Stones girl, and was partial to Led Zep, Dire Straits, Hendrix, Janis...'course I'm not exactly a spring chicken, it's true. Still listen to all of those, too.
But Styx? Nah.

Rush... a fantastic band - saw them on the Moving Pictures tour.... one of the tightest bands I've seen (with the exception of Frank Zappa).

Oh yes, Frank Zappa. The Mothers. My parents HATED them.
