What is you opinion? Will the new patch 1.4 be a terrible dissapointment (sucks)? Or will it be a satisying upgrade (suckstarts a Harley)?
We want to know what you think!

I'm hoping for the best but one thing is for sure; the longer it takes to come out the better it needs to be for me to be satisfied. I'm afraid it's already taken so long that the patch may look like little more then window dressing. D.

Why not give an actual real option in the poll.. anyways, I think it'll just plain out suck, like the game itself and the patches they released.

Oh misread that, thought it said sucked a harley or something. Glad I voted sucks. And oh yea, of course most people are going to vote for the "good" result, most of the people here are "excited" about the dumb patch to come out, others are here cause its an interesting place

Well... If 1.4 in Germany is 51 megs and it includes all the previous patches which come in around 38 megs, then that would mean there are only 13 megs of new patching. I'll have to vote... sucks.

There's obviously enough interest in the game that people are waiting for the patch, so the game itself isn't bad. The patch isn't going to make the game over completely - why would it?
If you believe that game game isn't any good, then what do you care about the patch?
Personally I'm enjoying the game enough that just having bugfixes and spells will be enough.

I didn't say the game sucks. I said based on what I can figure out that the Patch will suck thus my vote. I haven't played DL enough to judge whether it sucks or not. My hero has never been able to get past the beginning campfire because he stops and stares at it and thinks, "Why is there no sound coming from this campfire?" Then his little mind starts looping on this paradox and he eventually falls to the ground with seizures and I have to quit. :D :rolleyes: ;)

I don't think the patch 1.4 includes the other patches. Of course here in the US it doesn't do anything yet. But supposedly it includes lots of new sounds. D

When the game first came out there were a few posts by people who said that there was a lot of unused art and code already in the game. I'm guessing that the patch will unlock and use some of that.
If that is true then the download might not be as large as you would otherwise expect.

there are two patches for the german version
one from 1.2e to 1.4 with 63.5 MB
and one from 1.3 to 1.4 with 51 MB

You don't like DL. Is ok. But why you spend your free time only to write about DL? You don't have other hobbys? Waste of time to do things, you don't like. But it's your life <g>.
Wizardry VII is IMHO one of the best RPG's in the world. :D

lolz i spend about 2 mins a day posting or reading here trust me i have plenty of time enough for other things, i just find it amusing somehow like with very bad movies or something. dl is the plan b from outher space of pc rgps :)

I enjoyed Wizardry 8 quite alot as well... oh man, I wish someone would get some guts and tackle the original D&D content.... oh to live my glory days of D&D on the 'ol 'puter again....

Unfortunatly I can't say that I think this patch will Suckstart a harley. I'd assume that it will be borderline decent since all it really does is complete an unfinished game. I'm sure most of us true RPG fans will be content with a completed game at no extra cost, and possibly once we play the completed game and have a better idea of exactly what the CE actually adds to the game we might be willing to spend a few more $$'s with DC. as much potential as I see with this game, I really don't think this patch is going to offer that much of a change to current game play experience.
On the other hand if they'd release an editor so we could do our own mods for DL, New lands to explore, changing the roadsigns and whatnot like you can in Morrowind.. Well I'd be excited enough to buy the CE in about a heartbeat.
