View Full Version : I double click on Painkiller, and nothing happens

I just bought Painkiller and Painkiller Expansion. Initially, I installed Painkiller first, then I installed the Expansion. After installation, I double-click on the Painkiller Expansion icon on the desktop, but nothing happens.

So I uninstalled it, and re-installed only Painkiller. After installation, I double-click on the Painkiller icon on the desktop, the CD Rom drive spins for a while, and nothing happens. Then I re-clicked and re-clicked again, nothing happens. Below are my PC specs (I build this rig 3 mths ago, it can run Quake 4 and FEAR with no probs):

Welcome to the forum...

All versions higher than 1.35 need CD 1 to start, before it was/is CD 3 !
Therefore with BooH means version 1.5 > CD 1

But he should be getting an error if a wrong CD is in the drive.
Have you tried turning off all virus/firewall protections installed?

yo guys, I'm using a DFI nF4 mobo, it has NVIDIA firewall installed. This is where the prob rises. I uninstalled it and it works!! Quite strange though, that the firewall actually hinders a game from working properly!! If I installed the updates to v1.64, will Battle Out of H*** be in this version as well??

:D BooH will not be free in the patch,but you can using BooH weapons in multiplayer,1.64 is a small fixed for multiplayer

You need to buy Battle out of Hell, and itīs well worth it.
