I was quite happy to play this game, warts and all, and was really enjoying it. I've even been defending it on these fourms.

But I regret to tell you that by putting two unbelievably frustrating and ridiculously difficult jump sequences into the game (Shadow Ruins), any fun I was having in this very average game was completely destroyed. COmpletely out of context - out of the blue, as it were, you put something in the game that even an experienced action gamer like me could not do. After three nights of wasted time I decided that the game simply wasn't worth the effort.

How badly did these sequences ruin my gaming experience?

I broke my disc in half. Never done that before.

Now, I probably wouldn't have done that if the game was truly compelling, but it just wasn't good enough for me to warrant spending all that time banging my head against the wall. I have far better things to do.

Suffice it to say that I will NOT be buying the CE.

They might trade you the CE for the broken disc, but I'm not sure who would actually be getting ripped off on that trade.

If you change your mind, at least you don't need the disk in your CD device to play.

Screw that I am glad you busted the disk. I can't wait to sell this piece of crap back to Game Spot.

Ah, the contrived jumping sequence - staple of all crappy games for time immemorial.

The jump sequences "Piece of cake!" Sure 3 or 4 tries, but a lot easier than some of the fights!

Jumping in an RPG ... that reminds me of Ultima 8 (I think). Kinda pointless, usless, and frustrating.
