Confused on 5 star challenge.

Ok, I read all of the 5 star challenge posts and am still somewhat confused as to the possibiliteis. Here's where I am. I played the game on Nightmare level all the way through. I didn't get the 5 star challenge completed on 3 levels. Enclave, Ruins, and Palace. I want to know, can I complete the 5 star challenge just by going back and playing those particular levels again using my accumulated tartot cards as help, or do i have to start back and play the whole way through again from the begining using the accumulated cards, OR do i have to sign the pact again and go from the begining. I plan on going through on trauma mode next. it gets a little confusing after awhile trying to figure it all out. lol. I also was unaware when i started that you didnt need to get the tarot for a level to accomplish the 5 star challenge

First (i am sorry to say) the 5 stars challenge is done without tarot cards and of course without cheats.

Surely you could come back to previous levels and score them with 5 stars, since you do not have to do the challenge in a counter, but since you used cards, you gona have to do it from the begining:-) or it will not be a 5 star challenge.

The 5 Star Challenge can be completed with or without using the Tarot Cards. To complete the challenge, use the map to restart a level. Do not use a saved game otherwise you will have to play from that point forward for the rest of the game.

Yes, it works just how Blood said. And here's a very old example picture: BOOH - "Stone Pit" (http://tombraider.central-game.net/sys/painkiller/pkbooh_09_5star.jpg) - I think, it explains everything, so I often use it up to show how this thing works. As You can see, I had stars from Trauma and Insomnia difficulties too, and the summerized map-statistics counts only. You don't need to do it on one difficulty (anyway in PK, You can't), You don't need to do it in one round (all levels in a row), and You can use up cards too...

Artas, what Cyody and me and later You also did, that was beyong the officialy "5-Star Challenge". Yeah, for us, it was the Challenge: Trauma, no cards, no cheats, 5-Starring all levels in a row (so in one round, as levels come) - but this isn't necessary at all officially... :)

Painkiller:
I started PK in Insomnia, got money and most cards but not 5 Stars.
I continued PK in Nightmare, got more money, learned the game to play but no 5Stars.
I continued PK in Trauma, got all levels unlocked and all cards, still no 5 Star.

I started in Nightmare PK again (with all money and Cards) and unlocked the 5Stars.

BOOH:
I started in Nightmare with all cards, and low on money, no 5Stars.
I continued in Trauma, unlocked all cards and levels.

I started in Nightmare BOOH again (with all money and Cards) and unlocked the 5Stars.
