I am trying to install Broken Sword 3, The Sleeping Dragon. When I try to install it using the icon named "setup," the following appears in a window "Starting Broken Sword - The Sleeping Dragon Please Wait." Then a blue progress bar appears and when it gets to 100%, the screen flashes green for a brief instant and that's it. When I try to install using the icon named "BS3PC," the following message appears in a window: "BS3PC.EXE - Unable to Locate Component This application has failed to start because BINKW32.DLL was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem." How can i get the game to run? I can run the demo just fine with no problems at all. My computer exceeds all the system requirements. Can you please help me to get the game up and running? Thanks for any and all help.

I'm having the same problem with installing Broken Sword 3 as you, have you got it working yet or can anyone help with this?

Here is what someone told me to do, and it worked, it's from another forum:

"Skizzo replies "RE: Broken Sword 3 binkw32.dll trouble " @ 12:18am Thursday 5th Jan to Empire "Broken Sword 3 binkw32.dll trouble "

This is what I told somebody else some time ago (it wasn't my idea, though) and it seemed to work for him:

When you press the 'Start' button in the lower right corner, click on the 'run' button.

You'll get a popup window with a command line. Type 'regedit' and press enter.

A new window will appear. Click on the cross before 'local machine' then click on the cross before 'software'.

Scroll down until you find an entry called 'Revolution'. Again, click on the cross before it.

You now should see an entry called 'BSTSD'. If told powerslave 666 to delete this entry (ONLY THE BSTSD FOLDER!!!!). After he had done that and tried to install Broken Sword 3 again, he didn't have any problems with it."

What I did, was I found the "BSTSD" folder and hit delete, that's the only thing that I did that was different from what the other guy told me to do. I did this, cause I had no idea what he ment by "powerslave 666." This should get you up and running. Have fun :)

It's "I", not "If". Take out the "f".
