The Town Secrets with Carts - Vid

This is the very first movie I made (and it shows http://dreamcatcherinteractive.com/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif ). I didn't think it was original or interesting enough. I stored it on my FileFront page but never publicised it to the forum. As you may know, Artas is centralising all our video efforts (good man http://dreamcatcherinteractive.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif ). I warned him that this was a bit dodgy but he thought it was good enough to show.

It's a run-through of the Town secrets using carts to 'vault' rather than jump. It was inspired by my lack of ability to master the jump for the 3rd secret (2nd burning window). I'm also quite pleased with my route to the 1st secret. Anyway, sorry about the quality but turn up the brilliance and this may pass away a few minutes.

Well, i downloaded all of greybeard's vids and one thing there was new for me, i said to myself: - "what is this"?

I downloaded and was surprised a little bit, how come GB did not showed it to us? This video is very original, cause it shows how to get the town secrets using only the vans, but no painkillerjump!

As you know, painkillerjumping on the vans is the first and fastest way to reach those goodies and it is no secret way, but greybeard has something different to show for us - he uses vans not as an object for pk-jumping, but simpy...a just watcht the video!

What the H*LL? I've spent hours in Town jumping at the carts from every angle and I've never seen one swing upwards like that. Can anyone else do that, or does Greybeard have a magic computer?

Nice technique, but not anything new. This is one of the oldest and most common methods used, usually called cart vaulting. There have been videos made before showing this technique.

Secret 3, 4, 5 are easy to do without taking time to set up a vault. My video shows as well, that the mound in secret 1 does not need to be used, if you simply place the cart where the ground is raised up higher, and position it correctly.

I made this video because none I'd seen showed it being set up, and how long it takes to do so (about 27 seconds here).

I'm not sure what you meant by "centralizing" the videos, but keeping them all in one place has been suggeted long ago, and it's still not being done. That would require a sticky or seperate movie category.

Hmm curious, I wonder is the focal point of the wagon can flip you up by shooting the other end?

I havent tried that yet.:)
I guess I can put off perfecting the horizontal rocket jump to find out.:D

And varus has just the same video that you linked.No, I show you the 1st secret, the "ways" shown in GB's video are merely other secrets done with the same method, which is why I said it's not really new. Of course that depends on what you distinguish as new, vs redundant.

Varus of course showed the same secret, after all, it is the hardest of the 5, and was always the most asked about. As mentioned, the main reason I made one is to show how to set it up. It can be done fast, but has to be set up right.
If it was suggested, why nothing happend?Do you really need ask? You've been here long enough to know that not all ideas that are suggested and popular get acted on. Even forums with several mods are slow to make such changes.
