how do you kill the monster at the end of the game ,I,v tryed to shoot him with every weapon that I have,I'v been playing now about 20 times and cannot figure it out,need help!

Expanding on Frag's instructions - you need to kill 66 ghosts and trigger the Demon Morph. Then, when the Big Guy throws stuff at you, throw them back at him by shooting them. Eventually, he runs out of meteors, and...

It's actually a little easier than it sounds. Afterward, be sure to spend some time wandering around looking at stuff - this has to be the best-looking map in the whole game.

Thank you for your replies,but I think that I have to expand on my first post.
First I,m playing Painkiller-Battle out of **** -Shadowland.
First you go for a long walk and get every weapon in the game with all of the ammo.
Stop at cliff and [save.]
Then enter Shadowland and meet a monster called Alastor
Then you go to a ring of orange lights to battle him.
I,v shot at him with every weapon from 1-9 and right and left mouse.
Nothing kills him?

1 What am I not doing?

2What should I be doing?

3What should I be looking for?

4How can I kill this Alastor?

Need help ,have been playing this part for a long time and it is the last part to the game.

Q: ****, King Alastor is sexy…but how do I put this beast out of his misery?
A: First off, you must stand in one of the circles inscribed on the ground. Then, let King Alastor deal damage to you, thus a stone giant is formed. DO NOT let Alastor attack this stone giant and destroy it, instead, revert his attention back towards you with the shotgun. Doing so let’s the stone giant attack Alastor, which paralyzes him temporarily. While paralyzed, this is when you unleash your most deadly card combos, if equipped, and unleash **** on Alastor until he has perished."

I don't usually put up such detailed instructions (I'll give you clues, but I'm not usually gonna just tell you what to do...), but this bugged the CRAP out of me for about 3 evenings, and this is where I finally went for the answer (sorry, kalme... :D ...).

To kill Alastor, you simply have to let him hurt you while you stand on one of the lighted circles in the ground, and let the golem that appears punch Alastor and "knock him out", then activate your cards and shoot at him like a madman.

Thanks to everyone who got back to me,I will try and play it again and be more watchful of what I,m doing.

First I would like to say something to Artas1984.I,v been playing this part of the game for about 3 months and still had not figured out what the programmer wanted me to do.I would play a couple hours then not go near the game again for a couple of weeks,that is why I,v been playing this part for so long and also I an 69 years old and do not have the reflex of a teen ager.Also I am playing Boiling Point,Delta Force,F,E,A.R,Fairstrike,First to Fight.PF+FB+AEP,Sniper Elite Special Forces Nemese Painkiller,Apache ,Cohokum,Hidden& Dangerous,Longbow,As I am retired and can spend all day or night on my computer playing games.

And Artas is right I have never seen any golem attack Alastor ,of course i,v been to busy shooting at him to see to much of any thing.

So I will try once more and watch what is happening this time ,lets hope I can get so I can finsh the game and get it off my hard drive.

For what it's worth, we're not all teenagers, here - I'd say that about half of us are over 30, and half of that group are over 40 (including me@46... :D shut up Stry-gLoo :D ).

Thanks for all your help everyone.I don't know what I did last night but Alastor got killed and I got to hear all about Eve.So thanks again ,now I will have to go find another game to play,and by the way the games I listed on my last message are the ones I am playing now.I'v played all Call of Duty.,Medalof Honor,Band of Brothers,Delta Force and both Silent Hunters.And I have a list of new games that I want to try when they come out.

LOL, OK Artas, T'Krau and I may have slipped a bit, but you remark as if we are complete idiots for it and ignore the advice Bjossi gives, which is the old and inefficient way of beating big Al. (sorry Bjossi, it IS obsolete now)

It appears not all is perfect in Lithuania land, friendly or not, although I must say you have excellent basketball players.:D

OK, so I'll make up for it by offering a version I perfected of beating him, and a video to go with.

First off, the circles are merely altars, that does NOT mean you have to become a masochist on them and let Al pummel you. Just run over them and tap the flamethrower at your feet (suggested by birty, an old forum member), going from one circle to the next.

It usually takes at least 2 if not 3 circles to release enough stone giants to catch Al off guard. In this way you really don't need to waste time trying to distract Al away from them, which is masochistic as well IMO.

I used this technique with a full card compliment to beat him in :23 as well.
