Better later than never...

So, visiting again varus's HALL-OF-PAIN i remembered there was a mod made by one of your DC members - DashW:

First i was suspicious what could be good in Lonny Park, sice this level irritates me, i don't like original BooH circus, but what is wrong to try - i thought? Huh?

First it sucked even more, cause the clowns seem to show even more dumber than before, but after i linked to the enemie score i saw not 88, but 293!
More than that, after playing some time i discovered that this mod is just a gore-filled marvelous slaughter mashine! What a great mod!

I enjoyed that in this mod you could normaly go anywhere in the loony park like without the help of "pmnoclip".
New areas with monsters was like a fresh wave!
Of course it was not like the whole circus was in action, and only a small part of it was "dominated by new stuff", but it is better than before.

The minuses: i missed secrets, only one holly item was hidden where it was easy to find it, and that "secret" megahealth turned out to be no secret at all, but that place confused me to jump in it and i wondered how to get out?
Here i show 3 diff variants how to jump there:

But later i found that you do not have to jump there and that those doors will open themselves!




One more thing: i could not 5 star the level, cause 4 shotgunammo boxes were placed in the tree:

So i opened paineditor and found this:

are misplaced!

So for those who want to 5 star the level, just open paineditor and place those boxes where you like.

I wanted to reply to this thread for a while... Thanks for sharing Your thoughts, videos and pictures with us, Artas! I bumped into the same thing as You: I couldn't find the last ammos anywhere, so I turned on PM's radar, and it showed that those ammos are in the tree - OMG! :D So I couldn't 5-Star the level with this mod, it was impossible... :(

Anyway I found the mod tough and nice (I tryed it out just in last year's November)..it invites You outside the "usual" area of "Loony Park", it makes it much longer, and it offers some really tough fights! I had to reload sometimes at several places during my first run and I had problems with the rollercoaster-riding too, because Daniel wasn't enough healthy and well-armoured...

The mod is highly recommended to try out, especially for the experienced players (because it's tough)... ;)

You have to know that's impossible to add or change any map geometry with the PE (nor even with a 3D-programm) Therefore you can't get a "ride in the fairy wheel now" or similar things. A mod can only change the stuff, means monsters, doors, items, ammo and so on. And, e.g., you can't walk on the farway of the roller coaster because it isn't a geometry with collisions detection, but you can climb on that fairy wheel for your enjoyment only.

Hi All

I downloaded the mod for loony park off of Varus site and I was able to play the whole thing except the roller coaster ride. I was able to do the ride but there was no mobs and the track kept going in and out of the world anotherwords it did not follow the landscape. Anybody have any idea what my problem is? the little vehicle that you jump into as actually parked outside of the building but I still trigured the ride from inside but it came to a stop outside the building and did not let me out or go to the next level. :)

Hi guys, thanks for giving feedback, and I'm really glad you enjoyed the mod.

The reason I made this mod was because I was appalled at the fact that the level barely lasted 10 minutes! Being a theme park fanatic, I was hoping this would be one of the best levels in BooH, but I was seriously let down. Since there was so much space in the park that could be put to good use, I decided to extend the level out past the canyon, hoping to add a good few tricks and traps, and another 10 minutes of gameplay. I also wanted the difficulty to increase more gradually, starting with slow-moving cannon fodder and ending up with the 'commando clowns' that were originally placed at the START of the level!
The PAIN editor didn't make it easy.

Now to address your concerns.

First of all, I'm sorry about the whole 5-stars thing, but I never really worry about them myself. This mod was simply intended to make Loony Park more of a satisfying frag-fest.

Secondly, I have noticed that the rollercoaster keeps "falling out of place" after the mod is implemented. Sadly, I have not yet discovered why this keeps happening, or how to stop it, and this is one of the main reasons I don't play my own level anymore!!! If anyone has any ideas how to fix this, please share them here.

Finally (and this is a problem none of you seem to have mentioned), the clowns in the shooting gallery area of the park will 'disappear' if they are left too long. I assume this is in some way related to collision with the scenery. When this happens, the clown's disappearance is not recorded as a kill, so the next door doesn't open. This is the other main reason I don't play my own level anymore, and again, I have no idea how to fix it.

One other thing... Powermad is NOT required to play this mod!

We dont know each other and to be hornest i never played Ur MOD. Beside this the reason for making it makes sense.
