I've been looking forward to this ever since I first heard it's coming to the XBOX, I finally get my hands on the game in this months Official XBOX Mag & it gets ruined for me by something very simple. You can't invert the controls for looking up & down. Anyone have any idea if this can be changed in the full game. If not, I won't be purchasing it & it's a shame cuz it looks like one of those games that's a blast to play.

For the XBOX...I can't find a forum specifically for the console version, so I posted it here. I was kinda hoping someone who works for the publisher might see this & answer. Don't know if they visit here or not, but might as well take a shot.

I too played the Hell Wars demo. I'm deliberately not playing the boss as I don't want to spoil that big an experience before I get the game.
I did play through and finish The Town (demo difficulty seems to be locked at Insomnia, btw) level. I was impressed with the clean look that everything seemed to have. The quality of the lighting I also appreciated. I noticed a little slowdown but nothing too harsh and only when a fair number of enemies were onscreen/attacking. The physics were good, and I especially enjoyed in The Prison - which I haven't played that much of yet - using the rocketlauncher (second function on the minigun) to send the fat chaingun guys into the air! I imagine if you get the timing right, you can use a combination of weapons for extra style...Am I right?
One thing I was wondering about in particular though were the portals; to explain what I mean, on PC the whole level streams as you progress. On the PK Xbox demo, you'll do a certain section of, for example, The Town, then where before, the gate would lower and you'd proceed, in the demo sometimes a vortex appears, and you "travel" through it, until the next section's loaded; at which point, you appear on the other side of the gate. I'm not knocking it, as it's a feasible enough way in the context to mask the load times, but I would like to know if the same thing happens in the full game?
I think that the team at PCF and DC did a great job from what i've seen, and i'm very much looking forward to March. ;)

Yes, there certainly is a Painkiller:HW (Xbox) demo available. In it, you get to play through 3 levels (The Town, Prison and a boss battle.) I see that you're from Germany, so I don't know if it's in the edition for your region yet, but Official Xbox Magazine in the UK and US both feature it on this month's demo disc. Hopefully, you'll be able to play through the PK demo soon. :)

If you're talking about the full Xbox game then I bet it actually happens considering the Xbox only has 64mb of memory after all.

Why do you ask a stupid question like this when it's plainly stated in the subject of the person you replied to? Are you a total idiot or just partial?

OK, then what is the reason?

The reason, the reason first is bad zoning. Then its up to 64 MB.:D
If there problems in the same areas in PC and X-Box its a fault by zoning.
It would be nice to have some replys from guys with X-Boxes.:)
And whats so difficult for a moderator to post some news about the release of the X-Box demo in magazines in the forum?

No U get me wrong. PCF nevre sayed that BooH will have 12 maps and then just got 10 (actualy 11 with the secretmap).
I think these maps were betamaps in BooH but wasnt removed at all.
