Beeping Bleeping Blooping

Hi, I'm not sure if this is a technical issue or not, but in a couple of levels I've been playing I'm hearing this annoying beeping. It comes at several different pitches and seems to continue infinitely once it's started. I"m not sure if it's my system or it's an intended part of the game, but since there's not an identifiable source, I find it annoying and it's detracting from my enjoyment of the game. The first level I noticed it in was the Opera House.

My system specs are:
AMD Athlon 64 3700+
1 GB of Corsair XMS RAM
250 GB Maxtor Diamond Max SATA w/16 MB cache
SoundBlaster X-Fi Extreme Music Sound Card
BFI GeForce 6800 GT w/256 MB frame buffer
LG DVD / CD-RW combo drive

Is the sound like the old DOS sounds or is it using the speakers?

I had that problem too and those sounds came from speakers but since I updated my sound drivers the problem dissappeared.

It's coming through the speakers. I haven't checked to see if there are any updates for my sound card driver lately, but I'll check tonight and see if that does it. Aside from this game, I've had no complaints about the X-Fi. Great soundcard!!!

I have a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2ZS too, hmm i cant remember this beeping well.:(
What are Ur Soundsettings in the game? Miles2D? EAX? By default?:confused:

I´m going to guess this has something to do with drivers. The X-Fi is supposed to support every audio features available.
