Just curious what is the most powerful hand weapon people have found in Fargrove at start of game? I found a darven axe (damage 4-8) in the creepy monastery catacombs.
Can anyone beat that? No cheating I'm talking start of game here, thats before leaving Fargrove for the first time.

The Voodoo Mace is an excellent weapon! I used it until I had the strength to wield the Dwarven Axe.

Yeah I used it till I got the sword from Arindale. Honestly, I prefer a shield even though I forget to shield-block half the time, and the stats on the sword are very nice.

Wow! George are you sure you found the “Demon Blade of Charrus” in Fargrove at start!
If so were did you find it? And at strength 60, relatively speaking, wasn't its potential power negated by your lack of strength, especially that early in the game!

George Keith, I have looked in every square inch of Fargrove, the sewers, and custard mansion, even the catacombs, I've tried using every character, with every different class, and I did not find it, I doubt you found such a powerful blade in the beginning, are you sure you weren't farther?

Ah the typical post of the 12 year old!, what is the most powerful weapon, yawn. You know, Roleplaying isn't just about dual wielding "the most powerful weapons".

Thanks for your dual-wielding post, it's nice to see someone whose thoughts are relevant to the thread.
I'm curious would you like to share with the rest of us what you feel role-playing is all about?

TI4200, apologies for my tone on the previous post as it was not meant to offend anyone (apart from Qualas having read some of his previous posts). Maybe in his defense, he is Clint Eastwood?. "The most powerful handgun in the world".
It's just so sad that most forums are haunted by people who basically live there and see it as their duty to torment "Noobs". What is the point of forums other than to exchange views or find out information that you, and here is the key point DON'T ALREADY KNOW.
I don't know Qualas (thankfully, having read his post about people who are too "Poor" to pay twice for the same game) but he's managed to irritate the **** out of me with his 13 year olds know it all smugness.
I really hope he's not some 40 year old sat in his parents house somewhere, that would be even more sad......
As for your question, what is role playing?. Of course it's something different to everyone. For me it's about an alternate reality, escapism if you like where you can play out the experience of being someone else.
I've been roleplaying since the 80s with pen and paper D&D, moved through the gold box games in the 80s / 90s (Death Knights of Krynn etc), Drakkhen on the Amiga, Eye of the beholder, Ultima, the Might and magics and the Baldurs to name but a few. I don't get the chance to play so much now with a career and a family but role playing is NOT, having the biggest sword.

With that kind of experience, you really could offer a lot to this forum. Having played the “Eye of the Beholder” and “Might and Magic” series myself, I saw a lot of similarities between them and Dungeon Lords. I really would appreciate your thoughts.

excuse me? I do not torment noobs, I only insult those who ask for it, and even though I have not been playing RPGs as long as you (Wasn't even existant in the 80's, I am no noob, I have played rpgs since I was 6, playing D&D as well.
Maybe you should get your *** out of your head, I've only read your posts from this topic only, but, from what I've seen your doing the exact thing you are accusing me of doing. So what if you have played at the most 20 years of RPGs, it still does not equal to you knowing what RPing is about.
Also, I don't live here, I check on this each day just to see if any noobs have decided to insult my views and opinions, so that I can retaliate.

That age and you get in to a p-i-s-s-i-n-g contest with a 13 year old?? Geez.
Perhaps you are the 40 year old sitting in his parents house somewhere...

To be honest, Qualas has a point; Though my game experience is with 1.4 and not CE, in the previous version I am actually quite certain that none of the 4 demon blades and none of the bladerelics (other than the bladerelic of night) are available ANYWHERE in the game without editing one's character, let alone in the area of goblin sewers/fargrove/temple crypt.
As for me, the most powerful weapon I have obtained at this point in the game is an Elven Night Dagger in the goblin sewers. There is probably better in the crypt (I remember getting an azure sword there once?) but given I find those skeletons and headlesses and ghouls very creepy, I don't stay long.

Yeah zombies are creepy, but I need to fight them to get material for my summoning spells :D
