Hello,
I found this game in a pile of never played before games (you know the ones you buy for $5 and don't touch for 5 years or more?)...
Anyways, when I go to play, it tells me I need OpenGL 1.1 or higher. Well, I have beta nvidia drivers installed (90.28 I think) that support OpenGL 2.0. When I search for ogl.dll, I find nothing. So does anyone know if I need to rename some nvidia file, or disable something, or what to get my $5 game to work?
Thanks

So it has been 4 days since I sent an email to Dreamcatcher... do they care about their past customers? Apparently not.

I'm sorry about your frustration but all of our emails are replied to within 24 hour turnaround time, except for weekends as we are not open. If you haven't recieved a reply, it is more than likely because we didn't recieve it or another common issue we've noticed is our responses get put into the junk/spam folder and the customer never does see it. But since I am able to see your thread here, I will respond to the best of my ability. This problem has become much more frequent lately and we've looked into it quite a bit. So far, we've noticed the newest drivers from Nvidia are not solving this problem, so we decided to take the opposite approach and so far it seems to have worked with some customers. What i ask is that you go to Nvidia and download an older driver, from 2004 for example. Install that driver and then launch the game. I understand that installing an older driver might be a bit of a pain but to play this older game, i believe this will get you going. It's not the best solution but it's the only one we've been able to find for this game.

If you're in the habit of playing older games - and of course the definition of older depends on whom you ask - you may wish to consider going on eBay and getting an older computer for the purpose. Unless you still have one sitting around...
I happen to like the original Doom (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doom), and I have a sentimental attachment to Corridor 7 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corridor_7) as the first FPS I ever played. They are both DOS games. Windows XP will not even try to play them - it reacts to them by kicking its hind feet back to cover its scat. Sierra Entertainment's Rama (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RAMA) gets the same treatment.
So I run them on an IBM PS/1 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PS/1) running DOS 6.22, with a multimedia upgrade for CD-ROM and sound card. Cost me maybe fifty bucks. Neener neener neener.
-- That saves you having to install older drivers (!) just to play one particular game on your normal computer.

Hey SexyElf...in regards to

I bet cash-money that your beta is not WHQL certified. I had the same problem 1 or 2 years ago, so I grabbed the latest WHQL certified driver for my nvidia, and ALL of my issues were resolved
