Thumbs up for this thread, Anthony!
What is your Favorite Level: "Docks" on Nightmare and "Forest" on Trauma, "Stone Pit" from BOOH...
Who is your Favorite Boss: Guardian ("Ruins") and Panzer Spider ("Pentagon") from BOOH (very tricky!)...
What is your Favorite Weapon: ShotGun and RocketLauncher, and in MP too... :p
What is your Favorite Cut scene: The one after Chapter #2, I think. I like the atmosphere and the 3 characters talk, plus I like the humour with Eve and Adam... :)
Which level do you think offers the most eye candy: "City On Water" (man those sunlights and the water! OMG) from PK and "Stone Pit" (inside-outside, best architecture ever) from BOOH...
Anyway, I could pick up many more favourites even from these subjects... :D

Favorite level: Old Monastery in vanilla PK, Stone Pit in BooH. Both have good z-axis, good flow (provided that you don't decide to skip a lot of Stone Pit by climbing the walls), and a bit of non-linearity.
Favorite boss: Alastor (Vanilla PK chapter 4 version). A bit easy, but nice dynamics. The first time I saw him knock the floor out was OMG-tastic.
Favorite weapon: Shotgun/Freezer combo. One without the other wouldn't be so perfect, but together... it's nirvana.
Cut scene: Frankly, they all kind of sucked. This sort of game should stay away from that sort of thing.
eye-candy: Leningrad.

Anthony, I meant the cut-scene after the "Swamp" level: so when Eve, Daniel, and Asmodeus are talking about the next place in Asmodeus' house... BTW, the 1st is also very nice, I'm thinking it after seeing Grinder's post...
Alastor and Necro' are cool indeed (Alastor is the best badass General of Lucifer, that's sure; and Necro' is amazingly big and I like when he releases his ultra high power after destroying the chains on his chest), but "Ruins" is a lot nicer challenge for me with no cards and 5-Starring the whole level (102 ammo) on Trauma... ;)

I could easily write a hundred page essay on this topic. It’s impossible for me to answer these questions either with 1 choice alone or without explanation. I love everything about Painkiller and BooH. It’s my favourite game, my favourite escapism from reality, but for research & survey purposes go with my 1st choice.
What is your Favourite Level:
As far as overall enjoyment but not necessarily for game-play (combat, topography, secrets etc.) it’s…
Loony Park
It’s like dropping a tab of acid man. A bad trip, only fun. Twisted & evil, bizarre & fantastic all in unison. Loony Park’s the thing dreams are made of, it’s what crazy people see (no offence to any whack jobs out there). Visually surreal, however game-play-wise, exploration-wise it could have offered much more. More hidden surprises & more rides to interact with it, e.g. a Mirror Maze. Double the map size, add more types of new monsters, extra rooms & that’s the wildest most imaginative joyride ever. IMHO of course.
Fight-wise, mission objectives-wise, competition-wise my favourite battle-grounds are: Opera House, The Palace, Babel, City on Water, Docks, Stone Pit, Old Monastery, Abandoned Factory, Dead City, The Prison, Snowy Bridge, Military Base, Lab, Colosseum. In that order.
I also get maximum pleasure from Varus’ Hills mod (1st class Varus ;) )
Who is your Favourite Boss:
Necrogiant
The vast enormity & special attacks (spikes & whirlwind) it’s completely overwhelming. We’re fighting Gods, not aliens.
Panzer Spider (Pentagon) insane enemy. If you weren’t afraid of spiders before, you will be now. Guardian (Ruins) cause his arena is not of this world, different reality with different laws of physics. AlastorKing in Shadowlands, indescribable, positively insane!
What is your Favourite Weapon:
Stakegun/Grenade Launcher
if I have to choose just one only, but I love the Boltgun/Heater, SMG/Flamethrower and Painkiller equally.
What is your Favourite Cut scene:
Ending of BooH because theoretically it means the story’s unfinished, we have to find out what happens to Daniel. (PK2) :D
When Asmodeus transforms into Alastor, WOW!
Which level do you think offers the most eye candy:
Loony Park, Shadowland, Babel, Orphanage, Leningrad, City on Water, Old Monastery. In that order.
Favourite Monsters:
Flying Krusty, Clowns, Dark Ninja, Psychonun, Doc Death, Pscho Elektro, Witch, Dragonfly (Winged Demon), Templar, Skull, Sado Commando, MutaNemo, Amputee, in that order.
Demented creations from warped minds, a beautiful thing indeed. This game is off the planet! Beautiful, stunning, majestic, other-worldly and oh so evil. I'm hooked for life!

It's hard trying just to come up with one answer to some of these questions. So, sometimes, I haven't http://dreamcatcherinteractive.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif .
What is your Favorite Level: Palace/Babel combo
Who is your Favorite Boss: I'm not a big fan of bosses but I'll say Necro because I remember thinking "Bl**dy H*ll" when I first saw it stalking out of the mist.
What is your Favorite Weapon: The Painkiller. The best FPS weapon I've ever come across bar none.
What is your Favorite Cut scene: End of Chapter 3 (Daniel 'shooting' Sammael)
Which level do you think offers the most eye candy: I'm a sucker for the Opera. My wife's interested in Renaissance Italy. She walked past me when I was playing one day and said "Oh! Venice". So I'd better nominate CoW, as well.
Hope this helps (towards PK2?)

Yep edit… I’m with Greybeard, Opera is MAD! Definitely must get acclaimed as eye candy. Spectacular atmosphere.
Favourite atmospheric music:
City on Water
Favourite battle music:
Shadowlands, Loony Park Fight, Town, Opera. In that order…

Hehe, the roller coaster ride made me sick too with vertigo, and I honestly get dizzy often playing PK. Looking over edges, ledges, it’s great when your stomach warns you “hey be careful or you’ll fall”. :D
199 views in only a couple days, that shows some interest… DC Anthony, seeing as you’re here, promoting conversation, and hinting anything is possible (PK2) I’d like to appeal to you for help. Please help keep this forum and community alive. :)
Everyone concurs that games grow old, new ones come out, and forums eventually die off, but it needn’t be the case here because a few simple offerings may just be the thing that’s needed to pump fresh new life into the place (aside from PK2 of course). :D
Couldn’t you please share some more exclusive freebies? I know DC has already provided a whole bunch of free stuff on the official web site, wallpapers, screenshots, trailers etc. but the Painkiller wallpapers are pretty ordinary compared to other game wallpapers. I suspect that it would be quite easy for People Can Fly’s magnificent artists to whip-up something very nice and very unique, e.g. a collection of “high-resolution” wallpapers of either cut-scenes or concept art that we’ve never seen, or some memorabilia that has never been shown before? Your fans would love that stuff! That simple gesture (IMO) would go a long way to keep people interested, possibly even give them the incentive to rebuild the neighbourhood and interact more. For instance there are no “Battle out of ****” wallpapers, why not?
This may seem like an overconfident question (hope not) but is it possible to post links to the exclusive videos; The Making of Painkiller Movie, Behind the Scenes Developer Interviews, Painkiller Music Video from Gold collectors edition? Or is that a little rude considering other people paid good money for those exclusives? :o ;)
Painkiller addicts/fanatics do appreciate the Pain Editor, that is an awesome added bonus and it’s really both open-minded and open-handed of PCF to include it with the game, but take a look at PeTjA’s “PainEditorinGG” thread in the Creative Corner forum. Isn’t there something they could add to that? Some tips or tricks the developers could mention? There must be new notes for the instructional manual, no? PeTjA’s thread really is the manual for wannabe modders.
I realise developers don’t like supporting mods, but Varus’ Hills mod and Kalme’s (& Fleabay’s) Powermad are first-class work. A lot of people would like to mod Painkiller/BooH but because we’re not professionals we need an instructional manual “for dummies”. (I speak purely for myself, I’m not referring to anyone here as a dummy, hehe). That too would draw much interest no doubt and help to “keep the dream alive”. Of course the thing that keeps my personal PK dream alive, is the hope, and prospect, and potential of a PK2. :D
The bottom line is this… if DC/PCF ignores this plea the forum will only “get by” but the hardcore fans “get by on” Painkiller even 2.7 years after its initial release. Please show them/us/me you care. :)
Thanks for your time, SOULTAKER

Not trying to hijack your thread DC Anthony, just thinking about this topic a lot since yesterday so I put together some open-ended questions that might help collect info. (provided people share their thoughts). Guys don’t limit your imaginations to things that are already in PK or BooH, come up with something new…
What’s the worst way to die?
No really, it’ll spark new ideas for “pain”. E.g. Tortured, burned alive, buried alive, eaten alive, crucified, drowned, go insane, starvation in a cage, laugh to death, sex (receiving not giving), dissolved in acid, frozen, emasculated, brain sucked out through eye socket, blind-deaf-and-dumb, a deadly disease (pneumonic plague), turn into one of them, turned inside-out but kept alive, you get the picture, what terrifies you? Describe the worst way to die…
What are the most important things for you in a Painkiller mission and why?
Limit yourself to 2 choices only, I know it’s hard but it’s important. E.g. aesthetics & gravity, physics & intelligent mission objective, difficulty & hidden secrets, length (duration) & the monsters, scare factor & the freedom to explore a virtual world/environment, non-linear - alternate endings & bloody (gory). You could also give an example with your answer… “I like it when things jump out and surprise me in the dark” (keywords: jump out, surprise & dark).
Describe your ultimate Boss enemy.
Is it a God? Quetzalcoatl the Winged Serpent, Raiden Japanese God of Lightning. Is it demons? Beelzebub, Belial, Lucifuge Rofocale. Satan’s Army of Night? (Put Satanachia, Fleuety, Sargatanas etc.) A monster? Something really BIG like a giant radioactive moth, giant glow worm, a leech? Panzer-Cockroach, Panzer-Triceratops, Panzer-Fierce-Snake, Panzer-Crocodile, Panzer-Scorpio, Panzer-Eagle, Panzer-Frilled-Neck lizard! An alien? Maniac machinery; a megalomaniacal robot/human file shredder V12 nitro glycerine h3ll bent on making you quadriplegic? A magical being? An evil leprechaun who keeps playing mind games with you, makes you trip and fall over constantly, makes you see things that aren’t really there, keeps killing you then bringing you back to life only to kill you again for the amusement of your suffering. Pinhead from H3llraiser, hooks and razors? They’re just some ideas to go by…
What new type of enemy would you like to see? Or which old enemy would you like to see more of?
Be specific, think X-Files, think your favourite Sci-fi movies, e.g. H3ll-biker s.l.u.t.s, Evil porn stars, Doc Death abortionist, Full-cavity strip-search nurse that uses her fist (dipped in resin and broken glass) instead of a rubber glove and her finger (too specific?), Sumo Wrestlers, Atlantean’s, (ZWA) Zombies with Attitude - Crack-addict undead Compton gangsta rappers, Vampire Pimps & Lycanthrope Hustlers, Undead gay pride parade complete with baton twirlers (secret level H3ll Mardi-gras), Rabid Rambo Rabbis, cannibalistic S&M pygmies, Mind-altering alien jelly-fish, Killer amoeba, Poisonous air, El-chupacabra, Space Vikings, Goatman demon (man with head of goat seen in traditional devil worship), Scottish Freemason Wraiths playing bagpipes that force you to do the river dance until you die, Killuminati - secret society Spectre assassins, Yourself! An identical evil twin of Daniel Gardner, you catch my drift.
What age, time, city, landmark, monument or surroundings would you like to see some new missions set in?
It can be anything. e.g. Sodom and Gomorrah, “Pammukale” (Cotton Castle in Turkey), underwater “Atlantis”, Hellhole Casino (play craps with exploding dice and gamble your internal organs away), Battle of Waterloo, Woodstock, Lollapalooza, The Sphinx - Ancient Egypt, Future World 2050, Easter Island, 1930’s Chicago, Budapest, 1000000BC, Football field, 60’s psychedelic, Tourist resort. Of course PCF “could buy” Hills from Varus and continue with the Inca theme ;)
What (if anything) disappointed you in Painkiller?
E.g. Should be less linear and offer alternate endings to “every” mission e.g. get in the Soviet UFO (Military Base) and fly to alien world (secret level). Or you conquer H3ll but in doing so turn evil and are damned to rule it for all eternity (includes a Cut Scene that will change your life!) etc.
What (if anything) disappointed you in BooH?
E.g. There was no mission with an adverse environment that grossly effected game-play like the “wind” pushing Daniel about on Snowy Bridge. Should have been more secret levels. Should create a weapon that sprays acid.
What’s the best type of mission?
Search and destroy? Find all secrets? Navigate the maze? Complete a puzzle? One of the special ways to obtain a Tarot? Or if you have a better way e.g. 5-star please share for new mission objectives.
What would you like to see in Painkiller 2?
E.g. There should be a mission in which Daniel operates a vehicle, an aircraft, a tank, a boat… A monster that can steal Daniel’s body for itself forcing you to swap with its corporeal form, this means that if you kill it you will lose your body forever, it also means you’re restricted by that monsters physical limitations, an amputee, a psychonun which would give a positive benefit like flight… Make instances in the game where it looks as if the characters are really talking to you - not Daniel, but you sitting in front of the monitor! Something weird like that to scare the h3ll out of you!
Please offer your thoughts. All it takes is one or two original ideas that when handed over to the supreme team of artists and programmers at PCF will morph into something spectacular like Painkiller.

It’s easy to recognise the PK influence, look at those screenshots closely & you’ll see H3ll’s trenches, Leningrad’s weather & demonic war theme, Town’s textures & fires & Shadowland’s sky. Those flying sting-rays look real ominous. I even like that guns crosshair, four dots in diamond configuration, simple & efficient (although real-deal PK warriors don’t use crosshairs, they estimate their targets position, :D )
This one: http://www.worthplaying.com/e3_2006.php?op=viewarticle&artid=1038 was found at DarkInfinity’s Corner, original poster “Artas” but ignore his ridicule & mockery of PCF, he has no taste & is bad karma. :p

My thoughts on some of the above:
My idea of an ultimate boss encounter is one who uses teleportation decently. You almost never see this in first person shooters (the only one I can think of is the queen in Unreal)- it's mostly relegated to side scrollers- but it really spices up a boss fight. ****, it doesn't even need to be the boss that teleports- for the older folks here, remember the grim reaper in the original Castlevania? You know, the one who would make scythes appear right ******* near you instead of shooting them at you himself? Imagine something like that in a first person shooter- a boss that's causing projectiles to materialize around you from all angles at a relatively close range, pausing for just a second after materializing before flying at you. Add that to a teleporting boss who has some other nasty tricks, and you'd have one **** of a fight.
As for the level design I'd like to see in a sequel- Painkiller was already moving away from the Serious Sam archetype in level design. Fewer "large flat arena" areas, more areas with real level design. I'd love to see a move further in this direction, back to Doom/Quake style level design (i.e., hit the switches and find the keys to advance, rather than just get shut in and kill the monsters). An occasional "doors shut behind the player untill badass group of monsters dies" area is ok, but it would be an improvement to have very few of them, and to let the flow be controlled by the switches/keys. It also lets you pack even more monsters into levels if you don't have to kill every single one of them, but can run from some (for some examples of this, see some tougher Doom II maps, namely "The Gift from Gott", "Postmortem", "Dark Dome", "Hard Target", or "Afterlife II").

Hi Cynical, great input. I’m embarrassed to admit I’ve never actually played Unreal (never seen the Queen) or the Grim Reaper in Castlevania (lowers head in shame) but what you describe sounds very cool. “a boss that's causing projectiles to materialize around you from all angles at a relatively close range”, hehe yeah you’d have to do some mighty fine shooting to put those outta’ commission. I like the idea of a teleporting boss also. The booklet that comes with the game states “Some Dark Ninjas have the ability to jump great distances and teleport from one point to another in the blink of an eye” but to me their gleaming transfer has always beared resemblance to just moving really fast, not actual teleportation. Authentic teleportation is disappear here, reappear there. And if there were no warning signs involved, e.g. you know how Nightcrawler (X-men) teleports and there’s this blast of sulphur, well if there’s nothing, no identifying noise or sound or visual signal, a teleporting enemy would be the ultimate challenge. Blink he’s gone, blink he’s breathing down your neck, too late you’ve been disembowelled and now you’re dead. :D
I think “death” should be much more accentuated. In PK you die, blood splatters and you’re dead, but what if Daniel’s demise was far more graphically depicted? What if there were several “death” cut scenes (which would mean missions would have to be less ‘fixed’ offering players varying paths and different endings). So you’re not just “killed and die” but you see your fate sealed in a cut scene, e.g. Daniel ends up as an Amputee in the Asylum. Or Daniel’s devoured by Beasts (eaten alive). Those cut scenes would really haunt players. Count yourself lucky if you die quickly, but dying slowly and painfully is disturbing, it may even subconsciously drive you to play better? (or worse if you’re fond of the cut scene, hehe) :D
And in the case of a super-violent enemy e.g. an Executioner, the cut scene could show the Executioner’s axe chopping you in half, your body falls apart, or arms and legs break up, guts spill out, brains scatter. They say eyes can still transmit information to the brain 20 seconds after the head’s been decapitated from the body. Imagine a fiend that decapitates you then picks up your head to look into your eyes and watch you die… a truly uniquely horrific cut scene don’t you think? (Maybe I read too much Fangoria mag as a kid?)
What are the most important things for you in a Painkiller mission & why?
1. The enemy
2. The virtual world
The enemy (monsters, whatever) should be hard to kill. Even one should be a challenge in a fight, but a whole gang of them should be a living nightmare.
The virtual world or surroundings should be an explorers delight and a great place to fight. e.g. Palace BUT like Cynical says not flat open spaces. I like rooms and corridors, tunnels, subterranean labyrinths, close-quarter combat.
Describe your ultimate Boss enemy.
Lucifer, the Devil.
I know it’s cliché but if you believe in Satan then nothing else measures up to pure evil and H3ll. Supernatural, all powerful, able to manipulate reality. Can generate illusions inside your mind that are so convincing they can kill you. Can transform into anything he/she/it wants to appear to be. Is an invisible force of negative energy that is beyond human comprehension. Likes to possess people and derives pleasure from their misery. Can easily confuse you, deceive you e.g. a beautiful seductive woman, an innocent child, a family member you love and trust. Master of deception and lies (Belial) but does have faults and weaknesses such as arrogance and pride.
Either Satan above or some paranormal, multidimensional, teleports at will ;) , manipulates gravity, substance and objects etc. all the Marvel super villains rolled into one, hehe.
What’s the best type of mission?
Search and destroy, kill anything that moves!
What would you like to see in Painkiller 2?
The Shotgun’s Freezer is very useful but it’s limited to one enemy per shot. How about something that freezes everything within a 20ft radius?
Evil Ku Klux Klan wizards. Al-Qaeda zombies. Freemason vampires. Skeleton Punks. Brutally sadistic Gynaecologists. Panzer-Dragon. Aliens, but unlike any alien we’ve seen to date, something so unique it will leave people speechless and no doubt lead to a movie. Demonic Pimps and their Trailer-Trash zombie Hoes. “Bizarro-World” where everything is backwards and in reverse (up is down, left is right, forward is backwards, attack is defend, run is stand still, pain is heal etc.) a real mind-trip to what we’re accustomed to. Tougher environmental conditions, e.g. Shadowlands should have had “acid-rain” continually doing damage to your health, or in Dead City you’re constantly “suffocating” because of the poisonous air… harsher atmospheres. Sacrifices! Hot virgins getting sacrificed. Some enhancements on the current weaponry would be an option for the reason that thinking up new weapons which are even better than the current perfect selection would be a very difficult task to do. Gangs of flesh-eating Mormon ghouls. Saddam Hussein. Demonic Orthodox Jews. Modern Gothic Pagan vampiric lesbian porn star punk witches. Columbian drug cartel monsters (all sporting their notorious neckties).

Hi Cynical, great input. I’m embarrassed to admit I’ve never actually played Unreal (never seen the Queen)
The way that battle was set up:
The room itself was a HUGE ******* cylinder, with dark lighting, and pupae all over the floor. There were two upper ledges- one around the perimiter, and a small circle in the center- accessed via an inexahustable set of jumpboots gained just prior to that fight. The queen herself could teleport to something like 16 spots on the floor, and to (I believe, I could be wrong on this one) 8 spots on the upper-perimiter-ledge. She also had an instant kill melee attack, could shoot insane amounts of those Skaarj energy balls (I'm talking about 30-40 at a time), and had a skaarj-trooper style invulnerabily shield that she could hide behind. Oh, and she was a good bit faster than the player. Obviously, staying on the floor was suicide (instant kill melee attack, speed, and pupae), and the upper perimeter wasn't much better (she'd just teleport up there and slice you in half with those pincers), so you had to stick to that tiny platform in the center... which she'd respond to by teleporting around the upper perimiter like mad (i.e., fast enough that it was **** near impossible to stay facing her), pausing occasionally when you weren't facing her to release a flood of energy balls. Sometimes she'd jump to the center platform- when she'd do that, you had to jump down to the ground, wait for her to follow you, and then jump back to the center platform. To top it off, she had enough health that the fight lasts forever on the highest skill level. Easily one of the coolest FPS boss fights I've ever seen.
or the Grim Reaper in Castlevania (lowers head in shame)
This one is too hard to describe in such detail. Grab an emulator and a rom. The boss fight in question (well, more or less- most of these have a few extra tricks as well) is actually used in Castlevania, Castlevania III, Castlevania: Rondo of Blood, Castlevania: Dracula X, and Castlevania: Chronicles, so any of those should be fine to get the idea.
but what you describe sounds very cool. “a boss that's causing projectiles to materialize around you from all angles at a relatively close range”, hehe yeah you’d have to do some mighty fine shooting to put those outta’ commission.
Well, it normally works out more as "shoot some of them, and dodge the rest". Either way, it's normally a hard boss fight in the 2-D world, and I imagine the concept could transfer over well to 3-D (perhaps even better, since you can't see all sides of your character simultaneously).
I think “death” should be much more accentuated. In PK you die, blood splatters and you’re dead, but what if Daniel’s demise was far more graphically depicted? What if there were several “death” cut scenes (which would mean missions would have to be less ‘fixed’ offering players varying paths and different endings). This reminds me a lot of Undying- when you died in that game, you didn't just die- rather, there was a nice cutscene of the enemy who killed you doing something lovely to you. The possibilities ranged from Howlers tearing your head off, looking at it quizzically for a second, and then eating it in one gulp, to the witch shamans who would seduce your character before ripping his heart out, to the greater molo-shonois picking you up in one hand and biting your head off, to the Skarrows who would simply drag you to the underworld, never to be seen again. It was quite cool there, although I'm not certain it would fit the more chaotic pacing of Painkiller.

Sicko’s unite! :D mask killer of your ideas I particularly liked:
“cops” they’re always corrupt and fun to kill. The mission could revolve around the LA Riots or take place in a H3llish court of Law… throw in a dishonest judge level boss wearing his ridiculous court wig and gown, sporting a lethal gavel and I can’t wait to let ‘em have it with the PK!
“baseball player” because team sports are amusing. The Psyhconuns had that Ice Hockey feel (scythes, helmets, gliding). I was kinda’ thinking something unconventional and totally unique. “jockeys” (evil midgets) riding “nightmares” (fire-breathing H3ll horses). Or how about Triathlon? PCF could have some fun with “H3ll Olympics”.
“old people in wheelchairs” the Old Peoples Home from H3ll… suped-up turbo-charged V8 wheelchairs piloted by little old ladies, but what would they use as weapons? Poison cookies? Knitting needles? Garrottes?
“S&M boss queen” the Sado Commando’s bondage theme rocked! She’d obviously attack with a whip (and maybe electric nipple-clamps?) :D
“hippie” demonic druggies… hmmm… a bong in one hand and splashes sulphuric acid bong water at you? Maybe tokes on a H3ll-joint and blows the smoke in your face? "if" you inhale you slow down like from the Devil monks attack (also makes you hungry ;) ). If they make hippie monsters they should make them attack with psychedelic weapons, magic-mushrooms, peyote, getting hit makes the screen go real weird, let’s be realistic.
“Slipknot” no ‘hellish transformation’ required. They are demons from H3ll! :D How about they’re doin’ a gig on stage while they’re attacking you with human heads and body parts, and as you take ‘em out (one by one) their music gets effected, kill the drummer and no more drums, etc. until there’s only silence…

Sounds it. Nicely illustrated, I wasn’t expecting anything so in-depth. Sounds pretty intense, especially this “instant kill melee attack”. You’d be frantically trying to avoid that.

Actually I got it wrong Cynical, I looked through my pile of gaming mags today and realised I do know the game but had forgotten.
Well, it normally works out more as "shoot some of them, and dodge the rest". Either way, it's normally a hard boss fight in the 2-D world, and I imagine the concept could transfer over well to 3-D (perhaps even better, since you can't see all sides of your character simultaneously).

Yeah the ‘chaotic pace’ thing got me, you’re right. As much as I like great cut scenes (for their artistic beauty) it would slow down the “flow” of the action and we can’t let that happen, hehe. The devs were right to add them only after a chapter was complete, not after every mission. I just feel PK has so much more to offer, it’s full of such stylish graphics and level design that it makes for a stunning cinematic experience. If they ever make a movie I hope they get “Guillermo Del Toro” to rewrite and direct it, the man’s a genius. (Blade 2, Hellboy)

Haven't played Painkiller for several months but I finally got back to it a few days ago. It's as fun as ever!
What is your Favorite Level:..................Military Base
Who is your Favorite Boss:....................Thor
What is your Favorite Weapon:..............Painkiller
Which level offers the most eye candy:...Snowy Bridge
Great questions and it's soo HARD to pick just one. Nobody ever picks Military Base as their favorite level, a lot of people don't even like it. I think the reason it's my favorite is because there's so many different ways to do things. I always try different tactics and I never get bored playing that level.
Not that Thor is my favorite boss so much but I like the setting of the level. I like scurrying around the ruins like a rat trying to hide from him and his squashy hammer.
The PK weapon is hands down the best weapon in ANY game ever.
As for eye candy that was toughest question. There are so many I like and that maybe are "prettier." I like Snowy Bridge because it's so ambitious and huge and the scale of everything is large. I love the deserted, cold wasteland feeling especially at the end on the tram car, with the wind whistling. Brrr, I'm cold just thinking about it. Maybe what I like so much about Snowy Bridge is not so much its appearance or "eye-candiness," but probably more the atmosphere.

To me, the sign of a good game is when you find it difficult to pick out the best parts because there are so many. I found that the only thing that let me down was the pk jump for secrets but it wasn't till I started to play hill when it was suggested that I cut back on the graphics because that can affect jumping and sure enough it worked.
Best Level--- Opera house. although I really like the docks also, even though hights bother me and I would have a hard time making jumps (actually getting dizzy)
best boss--- I am not a great fan of bosses but I did enjoy all of them once I got better at the game. I would say the boss in the tower is my favourite. I accidently dropped onto the top ledge in the final fight and stayed there almost to the end. It was fun.
Cut scene--- final scene in booh
weapon--- shot gun when I was learning, stake gun when I got better and finally PJK weapon when I learned how to use it. shaking the coin out of them. hehe
eye candy--- Loony park great eye candy but it was way to short.
best part of game--- I love to play strategy especially after playing everquest for 5 years but finally getting sick of them constantly putting out expansion packs and hitting you for $30.00 every few months with stuff that should have been just upgrades and followed by several patches for the next month correcting errors.
even though pk is liniar, it has many ways to get to the end. I also like the way you can adjust the graphics to allow lesser machines work on it. I never could understand companies putting out games in a way that illiminated so many players that could not afford to keep up with vid cards. I am the only one at work that still plays because of that reason.
I picked up Advent rising last week for $5.00 in a bin and it only took me three evening to finish it at the easy level to get familiar with the game but way to many movies on it. there is some fun weapons and cool powers for the character and the mobs are unpredictable BUT STILL NOT PK. LOL :)
PS---- It would be awesome to have Eve come back as a boss, more like real life. ROFL

I think the Looney Park has the most potenial to be the best level, but it was too short. There is so must to see but unavailable. I love the roller coaster, but was disappointed in the shortness of the level. All the eye candy just teased us for more of the level.
It is very hard to come up with favorites, which has been said before is the mark of a great game.

Describe your ultimate Boss enemy
I'd say maybe something invisible.. http://www.cheesebuerger.de/images/midi/konfus/a014.gif (Surprisingly) not too much ideas in my head http://www.cheesebuerger.de/images/midi/konfus/a014.gif
What new type of enemy would you like to see? Or which old enemy would you like to see more of?
I've always wanted to make a Half-Life-type of game with the Pain engine http://img230.imageshack.us/img230/9538/shamegu5.gif So i guess i'd love to make a lab-like level with grunts hunting you down e.t.c. http://www.cheesebuerger.de/images/midi/konfus/a014.gif
What are the most important things for you in a Painkiller mission & why?
Storyline, non-combatant gameplay (i don't know why i like this but i really do), secrets, bugs :P, tarot card requirement, enemies..
What’s the best type of mission?
The one where you first kill all the enemies and then return to clear out the level :D I kinda like Underworld :D
What would you like to see in Painkiller 2?
My PC upgraded :D
Now seriously, even better graphics, better AI, better gameflow, some new ideas maybe (i'm thinking more in the tarot direction, also about secrets and stuff).. Too bad i'm too lazy to think it all up now.. Still gonna try later anyway.
