Painkiller: **** Wars Goes Gold
DreamCatcher Interactive Inc. today announced that its first-person shooter Painkiller: **** Wars has gone gold for the Xbox console.
“We have an awesome action-packed Xbox game that we’re all proud of,” said Byron Gaum, Global Product Marketing Manager at DreamCatcher Games. “Even the external testing teams, who see a lot of games come through their studio, were absolutely blown away by the fast-paced action, especially in multiplayer. This is the game that Painkiller and Xbox action fans have been waiting for!”

The game is rated “M” for Mature, and is scheduled for release on July 25, 2006

Alright its about time we got some action around here....I can't say I'm excited about h3ll wars though....I hate Xbox, Playstation and PC for me......But hopefully H3ll wars will bring people to the forum...The more the better.

Well, I agree with your sentiment. I could care less about console games. But now that PCF is done with Ηell Wars maybe they can focus on PK2!! Yes! Don't you think?

But also, congrats to PCF and I hope you all make buttloads of money!

Well I am a PSP/PS2 so I can't completely ditch console games....I'm just unhappy with the Xbox and I'm glad I didn't buy it or the 360....(Xbox/360 AKA mini computer AKA waste of money when you got one) Hopefully they make PK2....I really wanna see....soo bad...

More of a DC presence and regular news updates is something I'm certainly in favour of. Yeah, I included a "u" in favour! :p So, given that the July 25th release is probably US only - games launch exclusively on a Friday here - and if that's the case, when's PK:HW going to be out in Europe, please?

It's mixed feelimgs for me. I'm glad there will be more action on the forum but I am also sad that we aren't going to see it on PC.:( I would pre-order if it was coming out on pc. Oh wel, grats to DC, I'm sure they are glad to see it being released.:)

Finally! No, it's not a joke, it did go gold and will be manufactured tomorrow :). It will be shipping to retail on July 25th. The multiplayer turned out really nice, but was very difficult to test!

I've looked at all the regular local online pages that should have Hell Wars listed (and in fact, did, before the last delay was announced) but it's not on any of them; or the date they give has passed...So, do you know when the European release date will be?

I'm really happy that PK is coming to the Xbox.

however, I urge the Devs at PK to talk to MSFT and get this game backwards compatible onto the Xbox 360. Lots of people will pass this game up due to it being on the xbox. You will see a loss in sales due to it not being playable on the 360.

I however still have my xbox and I will buy the game.
