Uk Release Date ??

First post, just wondering if anyone (admin!) can tell me a UK release date? I know it's out in the US so when's it due over here? this game is the only reason Ive still got my Xbox!

Nice one! Had it on pre-order since febuary then that got cancelled by the shop! Last game I really want for xbox before I upgrade to a 360!! :)

actually, I am trying to promote the fact that by emailing backcomp@microsoft.com you can petition MS to make any Xbox game compatible with the 360...if you have a minute shoot them an e-mail and let them know about PK or any other game you'd like to see compat's with 360.

I can only say what happens in germany right now. PK-HellWars is listed at Amazon for August 30th.

Another onlinestore in germany got HellWars listed. (Okaysoft.de)

German version / Release Aug 28th (27,90 Euro)
English version / Release Aug 11th (42,90 Euro)

So Hellwars should be aviable in UK too around August 11th!

I don't know if that's accurate, though, PeTja. Since there is no record for a Painkiller title of any description for Xbox to be found in either Germany's own USK (http://helliwood.mind.de/~usk/main/show.php?id=60) game ratings listing (any game sold at retail in Germany must carry a USK rating) or the rest of Europe's PEGI (http://www.pegi.info/pegi/index.do?language=en) ratings system.

The information you would think would be available, considering that the publisher would have to, in advance of release, ensure that all the packaging was printed displaying the appropriate rating. (To give this some context, possibly, Ninety-Nine Nights has already been rated by PEGI, despite the game not launcing till Sept. 1st in the UK.)

Hopefully a DC representative will have some more solid news on the European release, soon, though.:)

What makes me wonder is that at amazon.co.uk HellWars was/is listed for May 5th .. so the site isnt realy up to date (?) and in germany (german version) amazon.de got it August 30th..
We will see. I hope for the european XBox users.:)

Im going to mail my german onlinestore to see if they sell games to UK. As far as i found out no known UK shop have it yet (sadly).

Yes www.okaysoft.de (http://www.okaysoft.de) is sending games into other countrys too! The only problem is that U have to be at least 18 years old (copy of the identitycard required) and U have to pay +16,50 Euro if Ur in the EU and more (if Ur not). That would make the game quite expensive.

They are highprofessional and i buy games from them for the last 3 years without having any problems. Beside this the german version will be aviable August 23th (not 28th).

Cool, thanks for letting me know. I'll keep checking the UK sites but so far I cant see it listed anywhere! No problems ordering from germany, are the games still in pal mode? And also will the text be in german language?

I cant answer the "PAL-Question" right now.
Yes the game will be aviable in english version/language (August 11th) for 42,90 Euro + min 18,90 Euro (actualy thats the shippingprice for swizzerland not for the UK)!!!
So if U have (keep fingers crossing there is no need for) to order from germany a english version (!) from HellWars it will cost U minimum 61,80 Euro !!! What i personaly find expensive.
If U need help with translations from german into english ... Ur wellcome. Feel free to PM me or post it here.
But keep in mind okaysoft was found in 1989 and i bet they can answer mails in english. Not the default mails maybe "thanks for odering" ... "the box left our house and is on the way" ... U know things like this.
So feel free to ask me if nothing else works.

Sorry....was away week and the long weekend just past here in Canada...after making some inquiries it turns out the UK release will be upcoming in the next few weeks, just co-ordinating with the UK distributor. But the game has been approved by Microsoft etc. So it is imminent.

I was checking okaysoft.de today to see if the english version was released but its delayed to August 31th.
German version is still listed for August 23th. So lets say HellWars will be aviable end of the month. Good luck and count the days.:)

At okaysoft.de is the german version delayed oncemore to august 31th now ... while english version is still listed for august 31th.

I PMed the Admin to see if U can have a official statement.

If a english XBox version from germany would cost 42+18 Euro = 40.80 British Pound i would think twice to buy it.
The 18 euro are the minimal shipping cost from germany!!!

First version is german (september 18th). Second is english version and stored.

I was going to get the XBOX version for my son's birthday but besides the fact that it doesn't come out here untill November and will cost ~$80 I can't see the point. He has a 1337 SLi system and the full adventure (original & expansion) on PC can be bought for under $30 on sale!

Thanks for helping us out (more helpful than any of the admins have been!!) Dreamcatcher have obviously snubbed the UK! It's too expensive to buy and ship from Germany so who knows if I will ever get to play this game on the xbox..:mad:

I have been waiting for this game for ages and I have been playing the XBOX demo for some time now.

Hopfuly this game comes out Backwards compatable and region free aswell allowing as UK <PAL> players to finally get our hands on it.

I can't see microsoft rushing thou because they haven't made games like Unreal Championship yet....
