doing 5 star trama and stuck

I have not been able to get to the new secrets in snowy bridge in 2 levels. 2 are in the level where the train tracks end. first is on top of the arch at entrance and the second is in a container high up. The third one is at the end, on top of the broken wall surrounding the telescope or what ever that is. I could really use a couple of hints. I was able to get to the base of the arch by going up where the container has fallen and broken the ceiling but I can't seem to climb the arch.

doining the 5 star in trama may not be the wisest move but it sure is fun.:) I am doining it with cards first.:D

I assume this is the XBox version, so you might want to move the post to the new Xbox forums. That said, I know you're a PC player, as well, and I think there are a few of us who would like to know more about the console port.

If you've got time, a quick summary of how the game compares would be good. Things like which levels were used, what are the new levels like, how does the tarot work, do you get the same insane number of opponents and do you only need 33 souls to morph (I'm sure I read that somewhere).

If you do get time in between bouts of Painkiller slaughter, all information would be gratefully received.

:) this is the original painkiller that I am looking for help. I am not sure if powermad added these secrets and power ups because there were several zones that I didn't even try to recover those items. I mainly played for Tarot cards so if secrets weren't required then I didn't try to collect. I am assuming that the secrets I am having a hard time with are from powermad but they may not be. the three that I can't seem to get to in snowy bridge level are 1. container loading area, on top of the arch as you enter right next to the ladder to the next check point. 2. secret in a container high up in a container. 3. at the end of the level where thing is that sort of looks like a telescope. there is a holy item on top of the circular broken wall.

P.S.
I must have died at least 30 times jumping for that vine in catacombs and didn't even come close till i turned off most of my advance video. I video card needs to be upgraded:D

Well, bless me. I didn't know PM did that. I installed it once because I was short a secret or two in "Hills" but uninstalled it straight after. I can't remember if there were any 'read me' notes with it. I shall go and look. If it's adding things in to the existing game, that will give me an excuse for another run through :D . If I have any luck with the secrets I'll let you know.

A decent gpu makes a huge difference. I started playing PK on a 4600Ti and the game play was fine but forget clever jumps. One new PC later plus an upgrade to a 6800GT and I was hopping around the ledges in CoW like they were motorways. I think I'll wait for Vista before I upgrade next. The 6800GT should just hold out 'til then.

And I'm still waiting for a PC vs console PK review ... :)

Hi Greybeard,

I really appreciate your input. :) There are some interesting adds through out the game so far. I have only gone as far as snowy bridge so far with it on. the only thing I am using from it right now is the item locaters and only when I've searched everywhere that i can think of and still come up short but there are interesting things I want to play with once I've finished the 5 star. I'm also putting a slide show together to show my camp locations in any zones that it is possible. some of the camp site make some fights way to easy but still fun to try different things.:D I don't expect to get a video upgrade till next year but turning everything down in the game really helps a lot. thanks again for visiting my post.

I have problem with docks. I seem to ommit one armor all the time. The ones that I have are: 2 from secrets on top of cranes, 2 close to nowly built ship, one under the creane near the beginning (somewhere close to 2nd/3rd checkpoint), one on the final ship.

Houston we have a problem ...
Seems like U missed the weak armor on the startcrane (where U have to jump to the megahealth).
No idea how to get back there ... seems U have to replay the whole level.

No need to replay the whole level!!! :eek: There is a way back (if the lift is still up).

I have another problem right now. I miss 2 items in Leningrad. Wasn`t there some bug with items in lelnigrad? Something tells me I`ve heard once about soem bug in leningrad. Well anyway I`m missing 2 items and I have no ideas where to find them. I`ve written down how many items I have after each checkpoint so if any of you has a record of this kind for a five starred level, I`d appreciate it.
Finally - I can`t believe it! I miss one armor again, this time in Loony Park... No comments on this... I get the one at the very beginning, one near the falling 'crystal ball' and one in acid bath. Where do I miss one armor...

I`m really impresed by myself... The least thing I`d expect in painkiller levels, would be to miss an armor. And in 2 out of 3 not five-starred levels I`m missing them... Kind of odd...

Now the difficult part. Seems like U talked about the empty secret. But this is a secret and have no object in it ... so one object will still be missed!!!

I don`t know what you mean about the empty secret. It`s empty and I`ve found it but that still won`t give me an object...

Maybe U should install the cheat powermad .. that have a radar included.

I`ve tried the radar, but I`m not sure how it works. Does it point to all objects or only to those objects that are within the range of sight? The thing is that I`ve gone through the level a few times with radar on, I don`t get any green x and I still miss 2 objects. I`ve also tried to use noclip to try to get a better view but I still miss two items. Are you sure there is no bug about those items?
Anyway I post my stats as for the number of items before each checkpoint:
ch1: 13
ch2: 25
ch3: 27
ch4: 90
ch5: 100
ch6: 111
ch7: 116
+1 item which is the barrel mentioned by you - when I`ve been making these stats I forgot about this one and I`m not sure which checkpoint it was (I believe it was between 5th and 6th). That still ends up with 117/119 objects.

ok I`m sure there`s something strange going on here. I`ve done the level once again and this time I got 116 objects. It`s quite strange since I`m always doing the same thing for about 6th time so I don`t think I`d miss anything. Anyway radar shows nowthing. Finally after destroying the statue somehow I got two objects destroyed more, so in total 118. So is the statue counted as 2 objects? Why didn`t it count all previous times?
Secondly, since I`m desperate now, what was that about the empty secret? I got the impression that someone had in mind that there is some object connected with it. I`ve tossed a dozen grenades inside hoping I would destroy some object that would be outside the map (like fireworks in loony park) but no.
I`ll also update my checkpoint values (I`ve missed one checkpoint):

That is a bug in Leningrad, in the last big area after the last CheckPoint. There's a building what is blowing up shortly after You enter. However sometimes the program counts the parts of that building badly and that may result a bad Objects Destroyed value. In that case You must replay that part, and maybe next time You will have more luck... And yes, the statue at the end means 2 more destroyable objects (but there's no bug there, the game always counts that). If everything goes well, You should have the 119/199, but I know it's problemous, because the game is so buggy... :)

BTW, I used to have 113 total destroyed objects right at the last CheckPoint. Then there's that building and a mine too, as I remember, and then finally the statue..at the end I get 119/119...

yeah I`ve done some reading about Leningrad (thought not in history books ;) and I`v read about a bug when objects pushed by enemies 'fall down' through floor outside of the map. Is that still the case or did they repair this bug in 1.64 or any of the previous patches?
Anyway now after like 8th try I`ve managed to get 119 objects. It is good though to know what is the case.
So I`ve 5starred Booh today :) I only need to get back to docks to five start the base version of the game.

Wrong. Because there IS a way up (if the lift is already down). I just didnt tryed it hardly enough. Its the same technic.
