Hi to all,

I've been playing PK with the eMagin head mounted display 3DVisor and I must say this is my best gaming experience so far!! I've had 3D shutterglasses but they make you sick to your stomach, there is ghosting and flickering. Although, playing long with the 3DVisor also gives you a peculiar feeling, but by far not as much as with the glasses.

The only problem I'm experiencing is that PK crashes my entire system sometimes when I start playing it. I hear a certain 'click' in my computer case and then the system reboots itself (everything goes blank).

I guess this is due to nVidia's 3D stereo drivers, but I'm not sure. It happens in 10% of the times that I start PK.

But still, the stereo 3D experience is awesome, this is what we're looking for!! The PK levels are beautiful in 2D, but in stereo they are really stunning, especially because the areas are so vast and large. Oooo, I wish you could see this.

Are there any other gamers that have the 3DVisor?

Greetz,
Fernando

I forgot to mention, I hope the DreamCatcher team also reads this :) , but the weapon you carry in PK is not compatible with 3D stereo, the rest is just unbelievable!

I bet it looks great.
Sadly the pics from Sir C thread dont work anymore but U maybe find some links http://www.dreamcatchergames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26474&highlight=stereo
About the crashes ... i think someone mentioned 50% more CPU usage.

Thanks PeTjA, I have a dual Xeon with multithreading, maybe that's my problem.

I'll try to upload some stereo 3D images captured from PK!

For uploading pictures i would recommend http://imageshack.us/ .
I resave them most to *.JPG and resize them to 680x510 so they fit perfect.

I remember that medic got some glasses but a very cheaper model. But if i had the money i would buy some too (and a NVidea because it seem not to work with ATI).

If U have questions about 3D stereo or problems this forum maybe can help U http://forums.stereovision.net/.

For those who wanna see the glasses  http://www.emagin.com/

The only problem with playing games in stereoscope is the need to calibrate each game... you feel like you need a specialist there to assist you. Well, this was the case for eDimensional's 3D glasses, anyway.

Playing Painkiller in stereoscope was really weird, it felt like I was running through a teeny doll's house!
