I keep getting error 1909 whn I try to install the same. Any idea whats wrong? thanks

If the error occurs after everything has been installed and says something about DirectX: don't worry about it. Just install the patches and any mods you like and start playing :)
If that error keeps you from starting up the game, could you provide a screenshot of the error or any further information in the error-box?

Thanx and sorry about my previous posts spelling. I was in a hurry but wanted to get this problems solution started.:D
I install the game and it pops up with "Warning 1909. Could not create shortcut Install DirectX 9.0c.Ink. Verify that the destination folder exists and that you can access it."
Then I click OK on that and I go to the screen where it says that I need to punch in the ID code and reinsert disk 1 so I do both and it will either say the CD is not the one matching the ID code or the CD is not able to be verified as valid.
I installed and ran SP2UpgradeV1.4.
I hate computers when they dont work right but then again its usually user error. ;)

Alright it popped up again saying the key didnt match the cd and I did the info deal.
Code: BDBAZ-WRPZF-LBL6F-SVY6W-XVN75
Key: VRAM....CODES THE SAME FOR EVERYONE

What and where do I need to send this info? I emailed support the other day bu havent gotten a reply.

Did you get that new error when installing the patch? If that is the case, you installed the wrong patch (there are two versions: north american & international).
If you did install the wrong patch: uninstall everything and install with the correct patch.
If you installed the correct patch: more people had this problem, and you should send the two codes you gave (CD-code & that error-code) along with the name of the game (Superpower 2) and a description of the error to support@dreamcatchergames.com.
If they don't reply immediately, just wait a few days and send a mail asking for a confirmation. It would be strange, though, because I've known other people with the same problem and they received a reply very quickly :-/ Must be because of the vacation-season.

I sent that info to them after expanding the number of threads I could see in this room and notcied you helping someone with this problem. Whish I had done that sooner.

Well I still havent gotten a response from either ofmy emails, 2 day and 5-6 days ago. MAN I WaNNA PLAY. I hope they get to me soon but it tis that time of the year.
Will they likely just send me a new key that others have and I could get fom them or a entirely new one?

Got it fixed by starforce.
How does this work? (How did you get it fixed?) I have not been able to get past the CD key - it keeps telling me that it is the wrong code. I have tried two copies of the game on two different computers with the same result.

The directions I got from Starforce.

Send a full error report please.
To generate it do the following:
- Run the game.
- When an error occurs, click on the "Information" button.
- After the information is gathered, click on the "View Report" button.
- Save the opened report file as text. It is a good idea to ZIP it before sending.

Got help in a matter of hours and got it working. Still havent gotten a reply back from dreamcatchers. But thankfully I dont need one.

I contacted starforce and they havent responded back to me
i did wat the dude suggested a few posts before
wat will starforce eventually do????

That sucks, they helped me within a few hours. I was talking to the guy til 2 in the morning. I still havent heard back from the other guys.
If I remember correctly they will ask you to try to run it, then click on the info tab and copy all the info down and compress it so you can email it to them and then they can unzip it and look at it. Then they will send you a new code and it should work perfect after that.

I suggest you contact them again. Wouldn't make a phonecall to anyone unless you know the cost of it.
And don't forget to include everything necessary. They can't help you without the error-code.
