I'm stuck collecting secrets heeeeeeeeelp

This is gonna make me reeeeally mad:mad:
I want to collect all the secrets and then five-starring the game but I think I won't ever get the chance to collect that wretched last secret on the Opera House level where I'm supposed to jump up on the arches.I've taken a look on the screenshots and watched even the video about it, but the most important thing is missing from both of them I think.So jumping up using the arches is well ok but HOW???.I've tried it about 90 minutes and then I gave it up.Please help.It is really annoying anyway.:confused:

For those "stunts" lower your advanced settings...to get more fps (frames per second)
You can control fps via console command: (~) < left from "1"

No matter how many videos you watch you still won't be able to get the secret until you understand the jumping mechanism of PK, the first time i went for that secret i remember it took me about an hour to get it, what i'm really trying to say is - watching videos is one thing - understanding the path to the secret, trying it yourself - it's understanding the way to walk the path (i'm starting to sound like a Star Wars fan, which i'm not :D but you get my point). FPS is king for jumps. I started playing PK on my old PC (2GHz, 500Mb, TI4600 128Mb) and had lots of problems with jumps. Then I got my current desktop (3.4GHz, 1GB, 6800GT 256Mb). Huge difference.

I remember running down the Snowy Bridge cable, turning around at the bottom and then jumping back up again, just because I could :D. I also managed the CoW balcony secret for the first time.

Varus is right. Lower those settings and up your FPS.

Sorry! My mistake.I didn't mention that I walked PK through about 10 times in insomnia and about 15 times in trauma difficulty.And the most important thing above all: I have five-starred ALL levels but this alone because of this lone secret in the Opera House.Sucks isn't it?:) :D

My main problem with this secret is:I know something about how to get it but not exactly."Use the arches" doesn't mean anything to me.I don't get it.I jump to the rail.But all I can do is two or max. three jumps then fall down because I don't know where exactly to turn while I'm jumping aroud like mad:)

Like all mentioned before: "Its all about FPS (Frames per sec)".:p
U should lower Ur settings to 800x640 or less ... disable (very low) sky , textures ... and disable everything in the advanced settings too to gain much FPS as Ur rig can give U.:D

U can see my FPS are 246 (before i started recording with FRAPS. I demorecorded before and then captured it).:rolleyes:
I also remember that it was a damned hard secret (with my old rig) and with low FPS it becomes impossible.:mad:

YOU ARE THE BEST!!!Thanks a lot.All I didn't know was the direction.The video on the painkillerhell site there has a trick.Before jumping to the arches the screen fades to another screen that shows the outcome that he stands on the ceiling.And I'm sure that I would never ever ever ever ever etc... find out that I can climb up in that corner.So, I just say: many thanks.
You can also say "Welcome to the club of the five-starred" from now on:D

Indeed there is a missing part in the painkillerhell video. I guess they had problems to record it and do the jump at the same time.
Thats why i demorecorded it first and then captured it.

Hope U managed the tricky jump now.

It's me again:)
Now my problem is that I don't remember how to five-star the Abandoned Factory level:(
4 star is already achieved but the last (Destroyed objects) is still waiting for me:)But I can't find them.I've destroyed 150/157.Help me if you can plz.

There are at least three objects which you can not destroy on the level. They are green containers at final area. You can add destroed objects by killing maso-commanders using stakes.

or install Kalme`s powermad which has script fixes.

Secondly there are some neatly hidden fire extinguishers. From what I rememeber there are 3 in the are with some yellow crates at the beginning (it`s the third open area) where you have a long 'hall'. Then in the are with two big exploding silos there are two more. Also look in warehouses for them. And I think that in the second open area (with first checkpoint) there are two objects that don`t appear always... When you enter it then to the right, near the secret on the roof, there should be two wooden pads but as for me, they`re sometimes not there (I have powermad)...

It's worth noting that it's possible (and probably easier) to make that secret in Opera House with a well-placed PK jump.
