OK, I'm getting annoyed now. I've been (slowly) running through on Nightmare since May (first time through) and I finally finished this week, 5-starring every level and grabbing all the Tarot cards on the way.
Then I started my Trauma run - this passed much quicker since I did't have to look for all the secrets and I've been using Mercy to spam Rage, Iron Will and Double Time Bonus at all the tough parts.
Now I'm stuck though - I just about finished Forest and gained my last Tarot card, but I can't 5-star it as I can't reach the holy items on top of the arch. I can get up onto the top of one of the arches, but from there I'm having no luck either walking/jumping onto the vines or trying to jump directly to the tops of the higher arches.
None of the video links I can find online work - does anyone have a working method to get up there or a working link please? I'd really like to finish my run :-)

Try to get max. fps as you can...this is much helpful.

Thanks - I have a constant 60FPS (two X1900XTs in Crossfire), and I can get up to the top, I just don't know which way to go from there.
I've tried that site - I needed help finding a few of the other secrets (Opera House arches, Asylum outside, Babel teleporter, CoW jump pad), but the video links there don't seem to work now as http://tombraider.central-game.net seems to have been taken down :-(

Gah - it's just Artas' and Cyody's sections that are down. Shame they had the two Forest secret videos.

Yes...there are 2 ways over the ropes...some tricky.
Others (CoW - jumps...) you'll find at my page (click the sign below)

I've done those already thanks - those were just the only ones I couldn't get without help.
Forest is the only one I need to do now - so I need to use the ropes then? This is tricky...

I did it!
Thanks for the hint about the ropes - did it fairly easily once I took it slowly.
Actually I reckon some of the others were harder todo in the end - just a pain not to be able to quicksave up there.
Apparently I've unlocked a secret multiplayer model and "Free and unlimited" gold card usage - now to kick Alastor's *** and see the proper ending!

did it fairly easily once I took it slowly....yeah - like me. At first I've meant to do it like Rocky IV and have missed the arches...overshoot the mark.

Here's a very usefull tip for you JD, after you get through the first battle area of Forest, head to the checkpoint then go back to get the secrets. It's not quite as good as quicksaving atop the arches but once you get the knack of getting up there it's not too bad. That's how I did it on Trauma.
