Hi all, how I can create a map with 3ds max 8? please help me

You can build any geometry and after that you've to export all as ASE-file.
Then you've to use the PK-compiler from ASE to MPK and import this in the PE. (like the tutorials of PE explain)

Look for the folder called
3DS MAX ase2mpk Exporter
...and there you can find a README.txt

For your export options you should use this:

Hi varus, I have a problem when I convert with ase2mpk the my ase file, I can't convert it, why? can you help me? I have found a page, look here:

Is a good guide, but ase2mpk not convert my ase file, why? Perhaps I not put the texture? how I apply the texture? please help me...

Sorry - I can't read this languages :p

but

absolutely each object MUST have a textures and UV1 coordinates in ambiente channel (only there will work)... otherwise you will get an error (view the app.log - file)

(you can use e.g. the empty.tga or similar little ones)


from the README...
ase2mpk stuff.ase will output stuff.mpk in the same directory


Remember your Docs/Editor Docs/...
e.g. PainEd Tutorial.pdf

Yes, but the tutorial is for Maya, not for 3d studio max....:(

Ps: I don't understand, but you can explain to me how applying the texture and creating simple plane? :o

(I think the better way would be over a messenger like MSN or/and Yahoo...I've your ID added)

Hints:
for PE > File > extract all game data > open e.g. C5L1 CoW > change the mpk > save as "name of your choice" (delete all monsters etc.)

^ or follow the instructions for PE from the tutorials or PeTjA's thread in Creative Corner...
