cannot obtain procedure wGLGetExtensionsStringARB

Obviously it has something to do with open GL drivers but I am not sure what, I have the latest drivers for my card, which is a GEForce 6800 256 meg AGP card, which isnt the newest but it runs battlefield 2142 an a lot of other games pretty well. But when I try to start the game it gives the error message posted in the topic, as well as the following
Open Gl extension not supported

GL-ARB_ texture compression, buffer object,cube map, and vertex program.

Its probably something simple that I am overlooking but if anyone has a way to fix it I would appreciate it

Which operating system and video driver version do you have? It would be very helpfull if you could attach your dxDiag here.

I'm running XP and using the nvidia drivers off the page 93.71. i sent u a pm with my dxdiag file. thanks

I have the exact same problem here.

Specs:
XP Home
2.8 gig processor
1 gig memory
FX5600 256mb card
Soundblaster Audigy

Anyone have any ideas?

You have disabled extensions in your driver settings. Please open the NVIDIA control pannel, and set the field 'Extension limit' to OFF.

I have set the extension liimit to 'off' and it is the same error as before.

These are the standard OpenGL extensions and your FX5600 supports them all for sure. Obviously the problem is in your driver settings. If you are using some 3rd party tweeking utility like Riva Tuner etc, it will always override your dirver settings. If you are not using any tweeking utility software, you should reset your driver to default settings. If this doesn't help, please reinstall your driver and answer 'no' when asked if you want to keep your custom settings.

Unloaded 93.71 and re-installed 91.31 and everything is working fine now, except no players to get some practice.
