I just recently installed the Genesis Rising beta from FilePlanet. I have updated to the latest patch via the Internet multiplayer autopatch.

When trying to run a single player game, specifically one of the tutorials, it always crashes just after it appears to be getting ready to start... The error from the debugger is:

Unhandled exception at 0x04d017ba (RendererGL.dll) in GenesisRisingBeta.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x00000058.

Is anyone else having a similar problem?

I also attempted to test the multiplayer thinking that the issue might be specific to the single-player tutorials and have as of yet been unsuccessful. Any attempt to join a game on-line always end up with a Refused response with no explanation as to why.

My system specs are Windows XP Pro SP2 (32-bit), Intel Core2 Duo E6600, 2 Gig RAM, on-board RealTek 7.1 audio and an eVGA 8800GTS with 97.02 drivers ( v6.14.10.9702 ) and DirectX 9.0c ( v5.3.2600.2180 )

It seems people with an Nvidia 8800 series graphics card are having this problem.

We have found what was causing this issue with GeForce 8 series, and will include the fix for it in the next auto-patch. Check for the latest patch later today please.
