ATI Mobility driver problems

I have an notebook running windows xp with a x600 Mobile Radeon card. I can't find a cataylist driver past 6.12 for it, the game keeps asking for 6.9 or better. Any help would be great.

All the info I can find lists 6.12 as the latest version of of the catalyst driver for ATI Radeon Mobility cards. Is there anything I can do to make this work with my mobile x600 card? Any sugestions would be great.

6.12 should work fine.

Ive reinstalled the driver, downloaded a new copy of it and did another uninstall/reinstall and still get the error message at the splash screen. Any ideas?

Can you please look into your DxDiag file and tell me what driver version is written there?

I have a Dell Inspiron E1505 with ATI Mobility X1400. I too receive the message that I need Catalyst 6.9 or higher. Unfortunately, ATI does not have any drivers for my video card and I have the latest from Dell. Driver info from dxdiag:

I actually have the latest DirectX 9c updates installed.

Unfortunatelly both of you have obsolete driver versions. After installing the latest Catalist (ver. 6.12), your driver version in DxDiag file should be "Driver Version: 6.14.0010.6652 (English)". Please go to the ATI official site http://ati.amd.com/support/drivers/xp/mobility-xp.html and download 'Instalation verification software' application that should help you with downloading appropriate driver for your video card.

If by chance that dosen't work try Omega's Driver package (http://omegadrivers.net) his latest is based on 6.9 CAT - get to know Omega's ATI'ers (Trusted ATI award winning 3rd party DeV) and no I have no affilation I've just been a long time ATI user
