patchit.exe errors

I have .NET framework 2.0 installed,I also ran a repair on it to verify it's install.But yet I still get a patchit.exe error when updating.
when doing either 1.7 or 1.75 I get a JIT error:

When I choose quit after that happens I get a 0xc0020001 software exception at location 0x7c812a5b.

I have reinstalled twice and the same errors occur.

Were you trying to do the patching manually? It seems that .ddt (patch) files are somehow corrupted. Please try downloading them again. Please don't rename downloaded files and don't use download accelerator.

Wolfman I had the same trouble the patch seems bad. It messed with my system until I did a date restore before the patch. I only knew it was that because It had been the only change in my system.
