I like the concept of this game and most of its execution however I feel the fleets need to be much bigger to give the feel of epic battles.
Is the multiplayer population cap set low for the beta, are there plans to expand the uppper limit considerably?
Also it would be handy to join games, at least as an observer once the game has commenced.
3: While hosting/ joining a game it would be nice to still be able to talk to people in the main channel to invite them to your games.

We will allow higher pop cap in the retail version.
You can chat in the main channel while playing the game, just click on the leftmost icon at the bottom part of the HUD.

I was talking more about chatting to people while starting to host a game, before the game starts. The screen with observers and assistants etc. There should be an option to chat to main channel there too.

Good point. We tought about this too, it might be very usefull. I think this will be implemented through the next patch (ver 1.77).

One thing that is definitleey needed is that if the host quits a multiplayer game that the game does not stop, the host should be transferred to another player so that play can continue.
