pk demo with skins... [work in progres]

Hi all, I have found a way on like qualifying the skins in the demo. For now, I have captured a simple video from the demo, see this img:

Demo with no skins (normal)

Without skins is very difficult to see the opponent(s).

Brightskins are on by default, no?

I'm more impressed by the tripling of the framerate.

I have captured this img from a video (from the demo). The first when i I was capturing the video and the fps from 250 went to 60, and the second at 253 (and after went to 60).

ps. Yes, the skin are enable by default, but in the demo you cant see the skin, you see the normal texture. look the video...

ps2. now i working to enable the HUD in the demo (the crosshair function ;))

This is really a very nice thing Peppins, but You have to know that BlowFish also is working on fixing the demorecording. Maybe You should exchange information with Him...? Or we will have 2 different mods/solutions to fix this crap what we have now... :D

Brightskins on demos is a nice thing. Making HUD (HP, armour, weapons, crosshair, etc.) to be visible is also a nice thing. But as fleabay said, it would be nice too if we could watch the demos with a smooth playback. Now when You play back a demo it's not smooth but it's like it's playing at around 15 FPS only, the scroll is rough (it does not matter what is Your displayed FPS on the screen). Making it to be smooth is important also to produce high quality fragmovies...

It also would be nice to see the fragmessages on the top of the screen, for example "xy crucified z". But I think it would be nice also if we could turn this off/on...

I not remeber that blowfish was working on fixing the demorecording. I haven't asked nothing at blowfish. It's only a my test...:p
